It will work just as well for me as for somebody who doesn't have any Skyrim-- but it will "waste" part of the key since the key will give Skyrim the base game (which I already have) to somebody who doesn't have it.
As GA creator, you can say, "please do not enter the GA if you already have the base game." That's why I asked because I have the base game and Hearthfire. Some folks just have the base game. But the DLC very seldom goes on sale, which is why we keep asking. =)
