Yeah that is how they justified it when I brought it up in the steam forums. And honestly it's unfortunate because I really liked Suicide Guy! I don't want to frame it like they just threw a crappy game together as a part of a master plan to scam people. I think they really wanted the game to reach people because they knew it was fun and people would like it. It's just they went about it by having bots leave positive reviews or something which got them taken off Steam.

Now they're really focused on expanding their audience to make up for the lost time spent in Steam jail and extending courtesies to the original customers isn't a priority. They don't recognize the sleaziness of just offering a discount to people to buy the virtually the same product. They don't need to patch the original game but given the amount of giveaways of theirs I've seen on this website recently I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that they apply the deluxe edition to the accounts of anyone who bought the original.

It seems like most people don't care about any of this too much because it's not an expensive game. I know I probably am coming off as some jerk getting upset over nothing. It's just I can't wrap my head around someone selling me something I already paid for even if I liked the thing that I bought! Anyway, rant over. All of that aside, sincerely good luck to anyone who entered this giveaway and I'm sorry if this wasn't the right place for me to voice my indignations. I'm gonna go eat some pizza and watch Tim and Eric, hope all y'all have nice evenings!
