The Power of Three by Diana Wynne Jones.
It was the first fantasy book I remember reading as a kid.
A mix of Lord of the Rings and the Dark Crystal all with a good underlying message of respecting each other's differences.

This looks very interesting. I'm going to add it to my read list

I wonder if the people behind the show Charmed were fans of this author? She wrote a book called The Power of Three, she wrote another book about witches, and she wrote another book called Charmed Life...
The TV series is called Charmed, and it's about a family of witches who use the "Power of Three."
Or it's just a coincidence and I read too much into things!

I'm actually not real big on reading, I did quite a lot of it doing time but there wasn't much else to do. But Christie Golden did some really good Warcraft novels. Rise of the Horde seems to be a favorite for many people.

In high school, The Chronicles of Amber were my favorite. A friend ran a TTRPG in that realm and it was fun. In college, the Wheel of Time books were my favorite, but around book 8-10 is a real slog. Right now, I'm enjoying the Stormlight Archive, which has the long story and fun characters that made Wheel of Time interesting, but somehow more consistent humor and plot progress. We'll see though, I'm only halfway into book 3.

I've heard a lot of great things about Stormlight Archive. The Wheel of time is also on my read list. Did you also watch the show Wheel of time?

I haven't watched the Wheel of Time show. My son would rather use screen time to play video games rather than do movies or TV, so I don't watch much.
Wheel of Time starts strong, but books (if I recall) 8 thru 10 have story progression that tries to advance kind of less related things forward, which makes the pacing suffer. YMMV. But I still reread the series to catch myself back up when new books came out. The whole series is a lot of paper. Remember, it's a marathon, not a sprint. :)

This is probably the trilogy "Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn" by Tad Williams
Fantastic characters, a very innovative heroic fantasy setting, and a plot well conveyed.

The trilogy looks very interesting. I'll add it to my reading list

Nice. I've read some Tad Williams and enjoyed it. I'll look it up too.

One of my favorite authors. He has a very unique way to make characters likeable (and he does not kill them whenever he feels it. Yes I'm speaking about you George R.R. Martin)

I guess in some way Chronicles of Narnia hold special place in my heart. I even wrote thesis about C.S. Lewis. But then again i've read a lot of different books and liked many of those as well. Yes.

Its been a while since I've read a real life book but I think it has to be geek girl + me and mr J. I liked reading but both made me want more. It was like my 1st time actually loving a book without having pictures like diary of the wimpy kid. As soon as I read the 1st geek girl I had to buy all the rest and they were being made during a time of me reading them. I even got myself an autographed copy. As soon as I saw geek girl get a series on netflix it brought me so much joy but also fear
