If you liked 1984, you would like Brave New World and Fahrenheit 451 most likely.

Oblivion, it would help to know a bit about your likings or topics for the books.
Myself I like sci-fi, crime/murder novels, I've read a few, such as Agatha Cristy short stories, I've read El Alquimista, by Pablo Cohelo, and recently borrowed one from my sister, "El psicoanalista" by John Katzenbach. There's another sitting on my desk, "Maestros de la Ciencia Ficcion 6" it's a recopilation of Peter Weston. This last one it's from '82.
Sourely you can go with more popular ones, such trilogies like LotR, or maybe others if you like fantasy style. Take your pick! :)
Oh and thanks for the GA

Thanks! I've been reading the Hooded Man series by Paul Kane, a re-imagining of Robin Hood in post-apocalyptic Britain. If you haven't already, the Hitchhiker's Guide is a jolly good read as well.

A Song of Ice and Fire*. And I highly recommend it if you are interested in watching the series, as you will avoid many spoilers lurking in the internet ;)

Thanks for the giveaway! If you're into historical fiction, I highly recommend Shogun, by James Clavell. The tale of an English sailor who ends up in Japan after a storm, and his life as he interacts with and influences the people and land around him. It looks long, but doesn't feel that way at all. Deep characters, good action, very good pacing, and a great story.

I second the Shogun recommendation. It's about 1200 pages long if I remember correctly, but it was so good I finished it in less than a week.
