how to contact the winner of my giveaway

Hi, hope everyone is doing well

I made a giveaway and sent the key to the winner but he didn't redeem it or said that there's a problem with the key

And I can't seem to find a way to contact them it's been 2 days since I sent the key and they were online several times in that period

What should I do?

Let 7 days pass before doing anything. Read FAQ meanwhile for future solutions.

For example:

  • What should I do if the winner of my giveaway has not redeemed their gift, and I'm unable to get into contact with them?

If you contacted the winner of your giveaway on email and Steam over one week ago and they have not yet responded or redeemed any keys or gifts you attempted to send, please contact support to request a new winner. When creating a ticket, we ask you to include data that suggests you made an adequate attempt to contact the winner, such as screenshots of emails, friend requests, or gifts pending on Steam. If the request is approved, a new winner will be generated by the site.

note: before requesting a new winner, make sure the one before has not yet seen the key you provide (check if there is an eye icon in winner page)

It's only been 2 days, I have realized not every one is like me eager to redeem their key
I was concerned there is a problem with the key, but now that I know they didn't see it yet, I'm relived
I'm certain they're not the kind who would steal the key

Also, there should be an email address visible to you here under the nickname of the winner. You can use it to get in touch with them.

Thanks that would be very helpful I sadly have a limited steam account so I can't contact them on steam, the email would be very helpful

Once i had a winner not marking it as received, then i made a post about it here, and poof suddenly he marked it received it. :p

Wow, haven't seen live limited account before. Any reason to keep it that way? If I'm not mistaken it is enough to spend 5 USD to get "unlimited" account.

Yes $5 but it's not small amount in my country and the bigger obstacle isn't the amount as much as it's shopping online it's a big hassle here and physical steam gift cards aren't available here

But you can get over $100 value with game keys bought from elsewhere, to get unlimited account you need to buy from steam directly.

That happened to me. It showed the winner viewed the key but they didn't even write anything in the game giveaway. After 7 days they marked it as not received and didn't even bother mentioning to me that it didn't work so that I could replace it. So I just left it as is and took the not received.

this one didn't see it yet but still I would be excited if I win anything
I guess after winning a couple of thousands games it's not that exciting anymore
