IIRC the extras only gives you a boost for some cars. Really not necessary. But you might want to double check, it's been ages since I played that game.

Progress will be slower, vehicles are more expensive. But you are not locked out of content
Played tons of standard edition, still dont have every single car.
As someone who was in the crew motorfest beta, i still think its worth getting crew 2, because what comes next is substantially worse

Some of the games I was planning to get have gone up in price for me, in the case of Katherine Classic it's more than ten times as expensive as it was in the last sale, so I'm pretty disappointed and at the same time kicking myself for not buying them earlier. I wasn't planning to but I'm very tempted to grab a bunch of stuff just in case their prices go up by the next sale, even more now that I realized that my card is offering me a discount if I make a purchase with it today. I hate feeling pressured to decide during the very first day of the sale, I usually wait like a week before pulling the trigger.
The thing I know for sure is that I'm picking up Pizza Tower today, they might change the price when they realize just how cheap it is in here.

Yeah I had the same issue. Damn broken notification system. They implemented it months ago on the app and it hasn't worked once and they decided to make it a web shit too. Brilliant.
