I'm very sad but also very happy. I'm sad because one of my favourite shows ended. I'm happy because it was a fantastic end. A very exciting and touchy finale for a really great show. Also seeing some of the old characters in the end credits was really great. So what are your thoughts? Did you like the ending?

Spartacus season 1 was epic. RIP Andy Whitfield, the series just isn't the same without him..

Please tell me you didn't stop watching the show because of that. I agree Andy was great but you get used to the new guy in the first two-three episodes. Other than a few season two episodes, there was not a single moment I didn't enjoy in the show. So I strongly recommend seeing the rest of the show.

I watched season 2 but just didn't like the new Spartacus. He's weak and soft. Still I'm a great fan of the series and there's always Gannicus so I have to check season 3 at some point :)

I was miffed with the character change as well, but the more I watched, the more I realized how well Liam Mcintyre was filling out the role.

At least they didn't "extended" the show just to gain more money... You know...it's a pretty big trend nowadays to just squeeze shows for more and more money...

I'm very glad that everyone i hate in this show died. Spartacus, Crixus and his wife, Kore. Those damn slaves really messed it up for romans.

Spoiler alert: The Third Servile War was over 2000 years ago. Surely there is a time-limit for spoilers? :-P

Me: At the end of Titanic, the boat sinks!
Vercinger: Dude! Spoilers! This is the first I'm hearing of it!

  1. I know Spartacus dies, but I have no idea who Crixus or Kore are.

  2. There was no way to know, until that spoiler, that the series goes with the historical outcome instead of imagining its own.

You are of course correct that shows often don't follow the historical events they are based on. I was tickled that you mentioned spoilers for something that in real life happened thousands of years ago, but it was wrong to tease you about it, because you are right.

I really enjoyed the series finale. The show was not as good as Rome, but I loved the first season and prequel a great deal. The show was not as good once they left the ludus.

I thought the finale was great, shame to see most of them die but would have been hard for them to write it any different. I saw some people mention a spin off based on Caesar but I wasn't too fond of his character..

^Big jugs for such a petite girl. When Gannicus refused the threesome with her and Saxa, I thought he turned gay or something.

It was a great finale, finally Naevia bit the dust, and in a gruesome way haha. I admit I shed mantears at the end, I just wished Gannicus would have survived, but oh well. The end credits were amazing, especially with that surprise at the very end, that made me only tear up again :')

Manly tears were shed...Great finale, and seeing the credits didn't help to hold back the tears.
