[Recurring subscription] ๐ŸŽถ Fast away the old year passes, Fa la la la la la la la / I bet Iโ€™ll forget to pause again, bah humbug! ๐ŸŽถ
[New subscription] What a holly jolly lineup! I don't know if there'll be snow this year, but Iโ€™ll certainly be staying in, playing these.
[Maybe subscribe] Soon it will be autocharge day and I have to make up my mind before that!
[Pause] ๐ŸŽถ Here comes Humble Choice Pause, here comes Humble Choice Pause / Right down IGN laneโ€ฆ ๐ŸŽถ
[Cancelling / will not buy] ๐ŸŽถ I'm dreaming of a Good Bundle / Just like the ones I used to knowโ€ฆ ๐ŸŽถ
[Complaint] If you have the $6 / month deal, then this bundle is amazing. If youโ€™re unlucky enough to pay $12 or moreโ€ฆ then I feel sorry for you, bro. These bundles arenโ€™t getting better, plus some months theyโ€™re even down 2 games. I heard there's even people subscribed for $20!
[Sharknado] Seeing teeth big enough to chew me whole really gets me in the festive spirit.

Fling to the finish show me no CV value as well (double asterisks). I cannot give it in a Christmas giveaway.

Did you contact HB support? What did they say? Mine, they ask me to clear the browsers cookies and try again but it did not work. They even asked me to remove all the payment methods I was added (means my subscription plan will gone, too) they promise will manual add it back but I won't do. After that, they abandon me, no more reply to me anymore.
How terrible support I have never experience.

You can sell them for about double the price on steamtrades (this is not an offering, to be clear). So you can get about 12 dollars AND be eligible for next months choice too for the same discount (for which you just conviniently got the money well in advance). Who knows, maybe the next lineup is worth the wait. Just an idea.

Selling is not that easy or guaranteed.
Don't think I'd buy for that purpose.

Easy? Perhaps not if you never tried it. Guaranteed? Yes. Many resellers will buy it guaranteed if you know where to find them.

Do you really want to help resellers though? That just makes publishers less likely to want to bundle their games, which means we all suffer lower quality games.

Nah, screw your salty attitude. $6 is a lot for something they don't want. You're just the 2021 digital version of "why don't you eat the greens, people are starving in Africa", but instead of food, you're upset about games.

Are you mentally unstable? Because that must be the only explanation for you to come here saying bullshit.
It's people like you that ruin the internet. Envious hateful people with miserable lives. Grow up and become a decent human being.
Maybe you don't get coupons because you don't deserve them. Karma is a bitch.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Granted that iGnomes' comment wasn't the most tactful ever but your reply was quite caustic and pretty much unwarranted, if you ask me. Are you implying that iGnome is a hateful person living a miserable life? There was nothing remotely hateful in their comment. Nor anything that would indicate jealousy. And you go to the length of suggesting that they're mentally unstable? You know, the same question could apply to you, seeing how you got triggered and overreacted. O_o Everyone has bad days, you know. That doesn't mean they are not decent people overall.

Ma'am, this is a forum. If you don't want people replying to your comments, don't post anything.
You are entitled to your opinion and can voice it here all you want but so can I, whether you like it or not.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Even if this a forum, you don't need to have an opinion about everything and much less express it. You are a nosy person giving unsolicited/unwanted/unhelpful opinion on a conversation that had absolutely nothing to do with you.
This is part of what is wrong with people on the internet these days. They think they are entitled to an opinion about everything that don't concern them and that they can say whatever they want on the internet without any repercussions and everybody else has to agree.
And then you wonder why I don't answer you the way you wanted me to. lol
I am not obligated to tolerate any unsolicited rude comment from you or anybody else. I only responded you both exactly the way you deserved. And I'll ignore you from now on. Not worth my time.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

If you have to ask then probably not. I myself passed on a $6 coupon a few months ago because that month's was a weak lineup for me. For me this is the most interesting Choice of the year and would instantly buy it at $6 but sadly didn't get the coupon this time.

The others have a point about it being good value anyhow because of the option to trade away / sell the unwanted keys but it can take quite a bit of time and then suddenly it's not that tempting any more.

Doesn't work for me. No matter from where I approach it, there is no discount. I have three plans to choose from - lite, premium and basic and none have any discount. The coupon says 'classic' though...but there is no option for that. If It simply try to resub it doesn't work either like already mentioned.

The only thing I could get was the 99$ for a year discount if I try to join from the main page.

EDIT: I even tried to resubscribe now hoping there would be another confirmation window with the discount, but it immediately subscribed me to premium for the full price. What a crap site. I immediately canceled the subscription, at least that seems to have worked without me having to pay for anything. Uh...I'll just come back to it in a few days, maybe they'll have it fixed then.

It seems to be a copy-paste of a generic reply message, which kept the HTML formatting from their source document.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well, it's very much intentionally done.

Not all mail clients support full css, so basically you hide in every way. (thus that mess of CSS codes)
Having hidden text at top ensures most email clients that use that as preview text in notifications, listings etc.

Much more useful than generic "Hello, Ekaros" most clients would use by default from start.

Ensuring you see the offer quickly, without clinking email, increasing marketing efficiency.

Hi All, did not want to start a new thread so hopefully someone on here can help me :)

How does the Humble Monthly work nowadays....i don't want to subscribe, just want the occasional month. Can i cancel whenever i want? Can you 'pause' for as long as you want and un-pause when you want that month?
I read the FAQ on the website but still not 100%

Appreciate any help

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You can buy the odd bundle here and there, but you will pay the full price ($20).
Almost all promotions do not allow you to pause, or you will lose the discounted price
.
The cheapest way to do what you want to do is pick up the promotion for a one year subscription for $99, which comes down to $8.25 per month but requires a big upfront payment.
This will give you the December bundle, and then you have 11 credits remaining. For subsequent months you can pause every month for the bundles you don't want. You can keep pausing over and over, for as long as you like, but you have to remember to do it every month.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

So i have a promotion right now for $6 for 2 months. If i took that after the 2nd month i pause and after each month i can pause the next (or cancel if i wish?) That right?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You can cancel or pause whenever you like. But any promotion you have will be void (except the yearly subscription which gives you 12 credits for upfront payment).

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

But if $6 for 2 months and i let that run and then cancel.....that will be okay right?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

After you have used your coupon that is time limited for certain months you can freely pause or cancel each month. With cancel you don't need to do anything after that.

Permalink

Permalink

Yes, that'll give you December and January for $6 each. Again, you can cancel whenever you like. Even in January if you don't like January's bundle.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It was just 2 months this time. It made me think that maybe they believe February will be great and they want people to pay full price.
Like, chances are January won't be that good so they rather people pay $6 over nothing.

Really good deal, the best for me is use that coupon, taking the games and after unsubscribe from humble choice, you will keep all 12 Games, and may get new coupon for future month.
But if you still subscribed in January there 95%+ chance you don't get any coupon (and you will pay 17.99 $ / month)
Myself i always stop subscribing when my coupon is over, and actually i have still get a coupon for coming back at 6 or 8$ / month for 3 / 6 month.

Hey, I have a question...
I signed up for the "3 months for 6" deal back in October. This would be the third month, so I need to cancel before Jan 25th in order to avoid being charged $19.99...
However, in my account, under coupons, it shows a coupon for "$6 USD a month to sign up for Humble Choice Premium for 3 months
Valid until Jan 4, 2022, 10:00:00 AM" -- for new subscribers. It says I can't use this as I'm an active subscriber.

If I cancel today, I lose the coupon -- right? If so, what's the point of the coupon? It seems like I have been given a coupon I can literally never use... or can I cancel today, then sign up immediately for another 3 months at $6 each month?

The coupon stays in your account whilst it's active. I believe that's the coupon from 3 months ago.

If you cancel, I think the "Holiday21" coupon code is still available for a few more days for cancelled (and new) accounts to get 12 months for $99 US, which is pretty much the best deal newer accounts are getting nowadays otherwise.
