Why male characters in video games have no nipples?

Men need hairy chests - it gets COLD in those video games, and you expect them to run around bare-chested AND shirtless?

I personally believe most of the time to due to what I mentioned at the start: non-sexualized male traits which are inforced by some companies. They actually go about telling the artist to leave it out or add something in on purpose to give an overall certain feeling to the character. Yes, it's quite straight, and even I don't completely understand.

Maybe the artists and developers are too concentrated on female characters (I get comments like "Why does she have so big..., How can she run with those all day long..., Why is she half-naked running around in snow..." when I play some game) and the nipple source is depleted, when they start making the male characters.
