If you already know what this is, then by all means, go greenlight it!

OOTP - Greenlight

If not, and you're a baseball fan, this is, by far, the best baseball simulation series ever built.

It's one guy, essentially, but he's been doing it for over 15 years now. Each iteration gets better and better.

It's an amazing simulation.

My PSA for the day.

Thanks for the bump anyway!
Developer is a great dude, too.
If you were a baseball fan, you would love this game, I assure you. :)

Don't really have Baseball in the UK :(. Looks like a nice game for those who are fans though.

It's basically the Football Manager of baseball. In fact, they shared an umbrella with Sports Interactive for awhile in a London office.

The developer is actually German, believe it or not. :)

Not really interested in baseball at all, I think I never saw a game. But hey, it doesn't hurt me to upvote a sport sim...

Already upvoted! I am a big fan of this series and would love for this to be on steam with steamplay. I definitely agree with the op that this is the best baseball sim series ever. There is so much to do! Btw, it has a connection to the football manager series.

To the op, friend request sent.

Edit: Oh, they have newest one up on greenlight. I voted for OTTP13 in the past.

Voted! Thanks for the heads up. I've been curious about this for a while, but never seen it on sale and Steam has conditioned me not to pay anything more than 1/4 of full price. :P

lol. This one does occasionally go on sale for 50% off during major baseball events (All-Star Game, World Series). Then they usually blow out the previous year's version once they launch the new one.

This game is a giant time suck, though. Can be insanely addictive.

Gets a yes from me. I know next to nothing about baseball, especially nothing about baseball management, and might never get round to playing this, but it looks and sounds like a great quality game, plus OOTP (2007) is commonly used as an example of how silly Metacritic is and it deserves some credit for that. :)

Very nice, wanted to take a look at this game for a while.

Another UK'er who doesn't really know baseball. I'd actually try this out at the right price as I quite like crunching numbers, stats, averages and whatnot. Sad I know, but I think I'd enjoy that, working out which players to sign up and use in certain games based on all their stats, juggling the salary budget etc.

If you have an iPhone, get it for iPhone. Usually $1.99, I think. The 2013 version may still be on sale for $0.99.

I think the 2013 version still on sale for $0.99 on App Store. Looks like a good mobile game, too.

Am I the only one who only knows about the OOTP series because OOTP 2007 is one of the highest rated games on metacritic?

Blasphemy! ;)

Mogul is a good game.

But OOTP is FAR more in-depth, flexible, and realistic.

Mogul is a ton of fun, too, but is a bit more casual. OOTP can be casual too, but can also be really deep.

No interest in baseball whatsoever, but as a big fan of Football Manager, I can see the appeal to fans of the sport.

Exactly! Thank you. The developer deserves the extra exposure Steam will bring him.

Bumping this because it seems the 2007 version of the game is now free. I'm planning to check it out myself, and thought others might be similarly interested.
