Console Script: document.cookie="PREF=f6=4;path=/;domain=.youtube.com";

Setting the Material Layout through console -- no extension needed (this may reset your language/location preferences):

  1. Go to youtube.com
  2. Open Developer Console (usually by pressing F12)
  3. Put in document.cookie="PREF=f6=4;path=/;domain=.youtube.com";, hit Enter and reload the page.

No, it's not. You can try the design and then restore classic youtube design if you don't like the new one.
