I can't understand how can you say anything about the game without even knowing what it will be about. Even devs don't know how some things will turn out in the end but YOU DO! You must be some kind of God. Also 96% of Steam reviews are positive so I don't know, either there aren't that many jumpscares or people enjoy those jumpscares. Or, I don't know, just a thought - there's WAY more to this game than just a few jumpscares.

I only remember there being a small handful of jumpscares the entire game. The atmosphere and pacing is very well done, I think that's why the reviews are so high.

Exactly. The whole atmosphere is very thick and disturbing. Plus interesting story, nice graphics, good audio make it a very good game. But who cares - if it has a few jumpscares it's SHIT. Now, let's play some COD.

dlc is actually what made me interested in outlast xD When I've read that there is psycho who calls you "darling", chases you around and wants to marry you (and have babies), I was sure that I found truly terryfing game at last.
