TFW Reddit and Origin forums are flooded with people who were unaware of the promo thinking that they've been hacked when they get an e-mail saying they've gotten a free month, and you've been waiting since November 1.
(edit 2: got it!)
Looks like the e-mails have increased in frequency, as if they were manually applying codes the past 3 weeks, and have now automated it.

I just got that email and my free month. Ends 21 Dec for me, so they've delivered a full month. A few days later would have been cool for the holidays, but hey, never look a gift horse into the mouth ;-) Also, it's not like there's really a lot of stuff to play. I already own most of of the games that interest me on Origin anyway.

you will, maybe next month, I get my premium on Nov 20th, and still can't play games to busy lol

I didnt enable the 2fa but still got the free month so I guess they are randomly assigning them and don´t worry about the 5 days of the month. When you get access you will see on your profile the days you have access enabled so just make sure to cancel it maybe before 29 days

I think that soon everyone will be given a free month of Origin Access :)
I received this email from Electronic Arts:
A free month of Origin Access for updating your EA Account
Thanks for enabling Login Verification on your EA Account as part of the Cybersecurity Month promotion we ran in October. More details on that here: https://help.ea.com/uk/help/account/login-verification-and-origin-access/.
We’re about to send you your free month of Origin Access. When we do, you’ll get an email saying that an Origin Access code has been redeemed on your account. Then you’ll be ready to start playing.
Thanks for helping us keep your account safe!

Just curious, is it that bad? Maybe it's better now. At least i don't have to pay for it.

Personally I had no connection issues with it (played in September when it was added to Origin Access Basic) 162 hrs and 100% achievos...
Sadly the stuttering is insane for me I have never experienced anything like that before .. like I spent about 40% of the time frozen it was so frustrating which is really sad I would have kept playing it after 100%ed.

This is the most infuriating part for me - that I keep checking my origin profile every day like an idiot even though I didn't get an email because there's the possibility they aren't competent enough to activate it and actually send the email.

So I hadn't heard of this and I only searched the forum because I suddenly received an email from EA that I "redeemed" and Origin Access membership... but I'm confused now.
According to this thread, "You'll need to turn it on before the end of October"... but mine says it's "non-recurring". Am I fine? I don't want to get charged for shit I never asked for.

You had to turn on two-factor authentication in your account before October, not the Access membership. If you had two-factor enabled before October, EA automatically activates a free Access month on your account. But the email they were sending says you redeemed a month of Access, so this is why a lot of people got confused and even thought their accounts were hacked. You won't get charged for anything - it's just one (free) month. This is why it says "non-recurring".

Yeah, a rather poor choice of wording. It should say you were "granted" an access membership. :P

As much as you want if you see the game in this list, list slightly differs depending on your location.

And the 10 hrs to have a taste of the new EA games like NFS Heat and Fifa 20... you can try each for 10 hrs each
Sadly the new Star wars doesn't have a 10 hrs trial for Basic.

"You'll need to turn it on before the end of October. The free month will begin on or about November 1 (it might take a few days for the wheels to start turning) as long as you've got 2FA enabled on Origin before the end of October. If you're already an Origin Access Basic subscriber, you won't be billed for November, and if you're an Access Premier subscriber you'll get a free month of that instead. And if you've already got 2FA enabled? Free month for you too."
Pretty great stuff. A Way Out, Anthem, bunch of Need For Speed games, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Vampyr are just a few of the good titles in there. For people wondering, here are the differences between Access Basic and Premiere:
What you get with EA Origin Basic ($3.99 per month or $24.99 per year)
What you get with EA Origin Premiere ($14.99 per month or $99.99 per year)
So, Basic has what matters, which is all the games. Here's the full list.
