Hey, it's less than $100. ;) Cooling's a bitch, but that's why it's fully customisable with scissors (not included).

The HAF 922 is pretty well known to be a case of great price/performance.

I suggest the BitFenix Survivor which comes in two different versions.

It´s something different in comparisen with other cases in this price class and offers enough space for most systems.

Because of build quality over bling? You definitely don't know much about computer cases do you?

1 decade ago
Permalink

who cares about bling? screw-less, good heat dissipation, general usability are way more important...

I'd personally recommend the "cheap" version instead (lancool) (see my comment below) - same features, just a bit heavy

thanks, i really want to go aluminum though. still, good to know lancool is otherwise the same as lian-li

I would recommend, if you can find one, a CoolerMaster CM-690. Very good case.

CoolerMaster CM 690 II

I have the original CM 690, which is AMAZING, but the mark 2 adds some really REALLY nice features.

I possess the shitty version of this without the blue lights. $25. Works fine for me.

The blue lights are just in the fan, it's stupid though for sure.

Where'd you get it for $25 though!? I paid $69.99 for the CM 690 (not the 690 II) - I'd love to upgrade to the II for $25 ;)

I must remind you, I got a shitty version.

Canada Computers grand opening sale near my parents' hometown. I built an entire computer during their sale weekend. Shit was so cheap.

Do NOT get this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153

It has very good airflow.. Downside is, the front is all mesh. It gets really dusty. VERY DUSTY.

tl;dr
Don't get rosewill, ANYTHING. It is shit.

I'm using this, and it's great as long as you're not retarded and don't leave it on the floor or in poorly ventilated areas where dust is actually a problem.

I'd say a home made one would be the best. I just happen to have a few steel panels from a dismantled copier besides my desk, and all the tools necessary in the garage :)

Sorry, but spending that kind of money just for a case is stupid.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Why is that? Altough I don't spend insane amout of money on a case, I still get a high-quality one since I tend to change case every 7-10 years. I want something that can stand the test of time.

Really nice case but not having a slot for the drive is not buy for me even though most things are going digital I still like the option of having a drive at the moment.

NOTE: lancool is the "cheap" version of lian-li (difference is steel instead of aluminium for the case)
