Ha, so I'm not the only one who noticed it doesn't fit in with all the potatoes.
Though, it's not necessarily a bell pepper - bell peppers are only one type of capsicum annuum. Could be Jalapeño too, for example.

Well this is an interesting one. I believe capsicum annuum is latin for potato although it is also the binomial name for peppers. I'm open to education on the matter however.

That's interesting indeed. Where did you find that capsicum annuum is latin for potato? I couldn't find that information anywhere. In fact, it's very interesting, that there seems to no uniform translation for the word in latin at all, which makes sense, because potatoes originate from South America which was unknown in Ancient Rome. Suggested translations are, "solanum tuberosum" or "pomum terrae" and "patata".
As for capsicum, that's the botanical name for all kinds pepper plants, mainly distinguished between capsicum annuum (annual, such as Cheyenne pepper, Jalapeños and bell peppers) and capsicum chinense (the more spicy variants, like Habaneros). The latter is also interesting, because the name derives from a misunderstanding, that traders who bought the seeds and classified them believed them to come from China, when they're in fact from South America and the Caribbean.

I have a dictionary of Latin but as a modern language. Potato is there, of course. It has two versions: pomum terrestre and fructus solani tuberosi. In the latter case it's obvious they don't mean the whole plant but just the edible tuber. Pepper is simply capiscum. It's a small dictionary so this time I guess they went for brevity ;)
Other funny translations are e.g. for a bus: autoraeda publica or autocinetum laophoricum.

Well, I googled for foreign names for potato and that was one of the answers I got. Google translate and the first few sites I checked seemed to back that up and it seemed plausible given that my actual knowledge of latin comes entirely via Games Workshop. After further checking it would appear you are absolutely correct and this is an error or misunderstanding somewhere that has spread unchecked via lazy channels (myself included) over the internet.
