Finally giving up on utorrent. They have been going downhill since they sold out. qbittorrent and deluge seem to be the main competitors, which one should I choose?

I don't see anything wrong with utorrent... it downloaded years ago, it downloads fine now too, don't know what else people need from torrent clients...

I just stopped updating it when I heard people upset about crap in an update. I'm on 3.1.3 and still love it.

I started using Deluge when uTorrent added all that ad-ware. Haven't had any complaints about it, works very well on Windows.

Both of them are fine. I'm currently using qBittorent and so far it's good.

qBit user. Nothing to complain about. It does what it supposed to do.

I personally recommend Transmission, nice & simple & gets the job done. Aria2 can also be useful for the occasional odd job (and is great for http/ftp downloads too).

Used it a decade ago when I was picking a manager for the first time. I guess it is a great extension to browser downloads, it looks much like a browser based downloader and works fine for single files, but is not much of a manager.

I have Azureus / Vuze 4.5.1.0. (the older version before they started to get weird with the streaming media stuff) that's been running on an old Athlon 64 seedbox for MANY years. A lot of people love to bitch because it's Java based, but at the time the box was deployed it was the most functional client available. At some point the seedbox will need to be retired / replaced and when that time comes I will look into all the options, but honestly changing to a new client wouldn't really gain me anything.

Tixati is what I used, really like it.

Reason I changed from utorrent is, when I shut down without closing utorrent it will always force recheck.
