I don't know if it's necessarily important that people post these, but I think it's pleasant, positive thing to say and receive positives wishes.

Oddly enough it's also become a trend for the birthday boy or girl to actually giveaway a game. At least, that's how I've seen a lot of these threads go.

It's probably the hidden giveaways that are in 90% of them.

Eh, those threads matter cause people make giveaways for their birthdays.
