This. I mean, the best two books that DC publishes right now are Animal Man and Swamp Thing.

+1
I had not expected a character called "Animal Man" to be any good, but I was blown away when I picked up the new 52 Animal Man and read it. (I had no knowledge of the prior animal man line aside from covers, I just hadn't read them, and still don't know if the earlier ones are any good)

Grant Morrison's run on Animal Man is amazing, even better than Lemire's. Definitely try that.

Other than batman and watchmen the rest of the DC line up does not really interest me with the exception of a few Marvel I just enjoy reading more but not as much as the independent comics from image. Long story short I vote Marvel XD

Mhm..I guess Marvel for me, since they have a few more awesome heroes than just Batman. Superman is nice but his look makes me crazy.

Marvel because I love Runaways.

How was the third volume? I really enjoyed the first two by Vaughan and Whedon respectively, but I just never ended up buying more for some reason.

Ignore it. Everything goes downhill ever since the two writers left. What I liked about Runaways is that every character has their unique personality with flaws, and yet they still got along, but when that new guy took over they made the runaways sound way too immature and they were constantly arguing with each (even after the stupid scatter spell). It really lost the charm.

Also the person who became in charge seem like he knew little or next to nothing about the story. Something that doesn't even make sense got published and somehow Marvel didn't care/double check and it made me mad and I'm assuming other fans as well. I really want to say it to see another person's reaction, but that's a spoiler.

The only way they can fix Runaways is if they reboot/rewrite from where Vaughan left off, but that seems unlikely since it's been on hiatus for quite a while, and I'm not sure if Marvel does reboots/rewrites in the mainstream universe. Such a shame too, Runaways was amazing, and it's one of those things that I wonder how successful it could of been if Vaughan and Whendon didn't leave.

Oh and the style looks childish too. I think Jo Chen still made some covers but quickly left.

DC
Haven't really enjoy a Marvel film since X-Men 2,and the way their comics are now written now remind me of a douchey kid in highschool who's trying too hard to piss off his teacher.

DC baby! I just love the heroes more, they just seem more "Iconic". I loved Marvel when i was younger, and i don't really hate it now, but not as good as DC for me.

Marvel by far, DC superheroes always somehow win against unrealistic odds: EX: Batman inning a fist fight against the Hulk, REALLY?

It was in the 80s. That's the only way that the fight could have possibly gone. If you're unfamiliar with Batman because Marvel is your thing then I'll lay it out for you. Batman is Captain America's physical equal and Tony Stark's intellectual equal. DC comics basically uses Batman to define the upper limits of human capability in every endeavor within their Universe with very few exceptions. Even those exceptions tend to be Batman related. For example Nightwing is the greatest human acrobat.

TLDR: Batman gases him then kicks him in the solar plexus, knocking the wind out of him forcing him to inhale literally all of the knockout gas Batman had available to use. In the 80s Hulk wasn't invincible. Captain America beat Hulk as well.

yeah. Ulitmate cap was able to take a punch from hulk but he is not peak human but more of a meta human or super human depending on the reality.

It depends. Dc can do some amazing stuff. However their characters are usually very black and white. Marvel has lots of grey.

Also the villans in dc really have to struggle to win, while in marvel the heroes do this.
