Quick feedback:
Those tables are fun to play. Especially the carnival one is, true to its inspiration, quite confusing. Herc starts more relaxed, but becomes stressful in a good way during multiball. Boy had I to focus the lower 20% of the table to not lose the balls :)

Thanks for the heads-up!
Their DLC model is actually pretty good - free base game, pay for what you want - AND purchased tables transferred from FX2 to FX3. Not often we see acceptable DLC practices these days...

except when they pull the entire pfx2 catalog without a word, then promise to look into stuff and just keep ignoring the whole thing. the pfx3 store page is fucked up as well, you can't easily tell what you already own, though I can't really feel sorry for people blindly buying shit without checking what said things actually are, though in this case it should be fairly simple, table I don't own, into the basket, but since the blue lines are fucked up, it's misleading to say the least.

They are aware of the issue and are trying to fix it. It could be a Steam issue and that takes Valve support to do.. which can take awhile.

Happy 10 years to Zen! :)

Zen is celebrating 10 years of Pinball FX today and with it they released the Carnivals and Legends DLC and are giving it away for free on Steam, Windows 10 and consoles. I run a smaller Pinball FX3 group exclusive to the SG community, so if anyone is interested feel free to read the thread and apply.

I do not know how to use this. But somehow obtained the DLC free in my account anyway through no effort of my own.

93762 is a package appid for pinball fx3
442120 is a game/package appid for pinball fx3

I'm always glad when people provide these comfy links/commands/appIDs.
... but I don't really get why one would need to do both, what's the difference and or advantage?

I did add the game first via the store by hand (long ago) and doing !addlicense 93762 doesn't seem to add anything extra according to store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/ ?

Thanks, well for me it didn't work to add the DLC because the base game was not registered to the account. It worked when I registered both only, so that's for people who haven't activated the base game priorly. It didn't add anything extra for you because you already had the base game registered to your account.

Lovely. I also like, that those are original tables and not some freaking Marvel stuff again. I just wonder, are they desperate? I mean, two brand new tables for free? One can only wonder if this is a desperate attempt to make people try out FX3, because there's a lot of folks who still prefer FX2 or some other pinball entirely. Personally, I like FX3, it offers everything FX2 does and more. I never had any technical issues with FX3 either.

They are celebrating 10 years and they decided to do a timed free release.

Well, they could have made it free for a week with the option to buy at 50%. I'm certainly not complaining, just a bit concerned they might not be doing so well.

"offers everything and more"?

Try playing the South Park Tables or Super League on FX3

You're right, with the exception of a few tables they couldn't port because of license issues. Another reason, why I prefer original tables. I don't own South Park or Super League, so it's no big deal for me. I think the only one missing for me is "Plants vs. Zombies". It's not like they took away anything, though, I can still play it on FX2. But yes, point taken, in case my favorite table was one that's missing in FX3, I'd probably be stuck with FX2.

South Park, Plant vs Zombies and Ms Splosion Man were due to licensing issues, that's just how it goes when you deal with other people's IPs. The Super League tables were removed from purchase on FX2 in 2016 due to licensing issues as well. You can still play them on FX2. Just so you are aware they are bringing the Zen Soccer table to FX3 in the future. But you can still play all of those on FX2. There's 70 tables on FX3. All the tables that were on FX2 and brought over are updated to where they are improved. Some of the tables feel brand new and are fixed of some bad issues like bugs and exploits.

Thanks for this. I didn't even know the Pinball FX3 is for free, so I got the game and the DLC as well. I have both FX1 and FX2 on Xbox, but this completes my collection.
