I think I got my playtime out of Terraria and Natural Selection 2, they are the only ones I bought full price.

The only game I've ever bought at full price was Starcraft 2. And it was amazing.

haha yup, Skyrim was my induction into the world of PC gaming, and holy crap was it awesome. Bought it full retail from Gamestop (yeah, i know), spent my entire spring break eating, sleeping, and playing Skyrim, and now I am a game-collecting addict.

The only games I ever buy at full price these days are Kingdom Hearts and Pokemon. One because it's my favorite and the other because the price NEVER drops on those things and I know I'll get my money's worth of playtime in both. I never buy full priced pc games since there are sales so often.

However if I hadn't gotten it in a bundle I don't think I'd be too butthurt if I paid full price for Binding of Isaac. So many hours. When Rebirth comes out I likely will actually be shelling out full price for that... probably on playstation as well since I know someone who'd play co-op with me.

Some yes some not.

  • Yes - Batman Arkham City / Borderlands 2 / Tomb Raider etc.
  • No - Aliens Colonial Marines / Resident Evil 6 / Brink etc.

Ps. By saying "NO" I don't mean I regret them, just I feel I should have waited for a sale.

You don't regret paying full price for Aliens and Brink? Are you kidding?

You can't read... He said "I don't mean I regret them, just I feel I should have waited for a sale."

He specifically said that he doesn't regret paying full price for them. And I pointed out, that he should regret those purchases, since both of the games are sup-par in the case of brink, and a horrible, wonky, unplayable mess, in the case of Aliens. Even at 75% off, neither of those games are worth buying. I only own brink because I got it in the $28 GamersGate Bethesda bundle.

You are misreading what he said because you forget the OP to which he is responding. What he actually said (paraphrasing) is:

"No, I did not get my money's worth from Aliens Colonial Marines/Resident Evil 6/Brink/etc. I do not regret buying them, I just feel I should have waited for a sale."

Your understanding that he doesn't regret paying full price for them is incorrect.

I see what happened here. :D Others are not quite getting what you said.

As I said I don't regret having them. I played all those. Brink is a mess much larger mess now, but I never hated it. For Aliens, yup it's cluster f*ck, still had fun playing with friends. RE6 versus is pretty much dead online but co-op is still up and running (at least) So I don't regret having them, just feels I should have waited for a sale.

In short, yes! It's hard to say how you'll find it if you played SC2 first, but many prefer the original (with the Forged Alliance expansion). You should keep an eye on the upcoming Planetary Annihilation too.

Many people say that Forged Alliance is better than the second game, but I was unable to get into it when I tried. Looked like a fine game but I just didn't like it. Love Supreme Commander 2 though.

Odd... I own it on Steam, so I know it exists, there. Or are you saying you bought it for a console and wish you had it for your PC? It's pretty cheap when it's on sale, so you could easily pick it up.

Other than some 1st party Nintendo games, I don't think I've paid full price for a game even at launch. Those that I've bought at launch have been well worth it. For PC that includes: Guild Wars 1 & 2, UT2k4, and HL2 (the game itself wasn't, but it was a reasonable deal at the time since you got pretty much their entire library).
