Statistics (mostly my made up ones) show that 60% of people will find some way to complain about a chance to enter a giveaway for a free game. Don't do that. It's not funny.

My advice: Look at all of this as a pretty cool optional event, one that's encouraging people to make more giveaways that you can enter (or not enter). Or maybe I'm just a glass is half full kind of guy. shrug

Why complain of free game, you ask? If game that given away end up being unplayable, it's even worse than having a pair of fresh socks for a gift. Give folks something stable, don't make them being constantly reminded of their poor rank.
I would make some of my games into event gift, but they're all region locked and I don't have an option to get regfree key for a game what is not from other giveaway sources. So they're reserved for regular ones only.
Opening a gift with reglock copy is just as mean as broken stuff.

Lmao you've said absolutely nothing. As pointed out by someone else, you can't even open region locked gift boxes if you're not in the right region. Also, no-one forces you to enter the giveaways, even if you open the boxes. The responsibility is entirely on you if you enter for a shitty game and win

You only gave away 3 games for the 40 that you won. I wouldn't consider you a generous person at any rate. Therefore, you can't really afford to rudely complain about other people's generosity or lack of.

I'm only registered for a week now and I already got annoyed by that lol. It wasn't just the lack of a thank you alone, it was the fact that the same user had given away one really crap game once and had won over 100 from the community. Leeches like that are gross, they could at least say thanks. Even seeing 1 giveaway for every 4 or 5 won would have made me satisfied enough not to care. Despite my lvl 1 status, I went and made the next giveaway I did for a slightly better game lvl 3 as an up yours to the ungrateful leeches lol.

From my experience of event so far as Level 1 contributor, there's lots of low-level troll giveaways.
If it happens to you to come across Secret Santa with most of these features:
..there's 60% chance it being some unremarkably gross single-dev Indie that contributor got extra with their HB pack.
Don't do that. Exploiting others' curiosity to drive them away from potentially good giveaways for another 24 hours isn't funny.
