Dead Space 1-3 vs Mass Effect 1-3? :D

I haven't played Dead Space 1 or 2 yet. I enjoyed Mass Effect 1 and 2.

I will not be touching Dead Space 3 and Mass Effect 3 for the simple fact both are on Origin and I hate Origin. (main reason I hate it, if you get banned in the forums for any reason at all even accidentally, you loose all access to your games).

Pretty die hard dead space fan here, having replayed all three numerous times, yet only got half way through mass effect.

I've played all 4 Dead Space games, including the Extraction rail shooter, but haven't played any Mass Effect titles yet. I'm highly interested in playing these, but I'm simply too backlogged with titles at the moment to consider purchasing them yet. They are on my highly desirable list, though.

As far as the Dead Space games, they're amazing. If you like horror titles with a great atmosphere, a sense of hopelessness, and loads of blood and gore, then you simply cannot go wrong here. These and the F.E.A.R. trilogy are just phenomenal games in my opinion. As long as I'm speaking opinions, I prefer them in order. Dead Space is by far my favorite. It's a little more simple then the others without as many weapons, places to explore, etc. While this is the reason many prefer the second installment over the original, I feel the first captured the horrific atmosphere better because of this. You are limited in everything, so it's more survival that shooter.

Dead Space 2 is also great. As is the case with all games, the second title added more options. There are more weapons, more freedom to upgrade your RIG (suit), etc that makes it more in depth. The reason that I rank it behind the original is due to the fact that it feels more like a shooter than a horror game. Regardless, it's great.

Which one is better? I had way much more fun playing the Mass Effect series than the Dead Space series. It is up to you which one you want but If you are looking for more fun, choose ME 1-3.

Dead Space (1) was soooooooo boring, I couldn't force myself to finish it. I was like 75% done and quit it. And never came back to finish it. I can't understand why it got such good notes, for me it was more of a pain than pleasure.

Both are great. They are too different genres to compare. However, as a third-person shooter? Ignoring RPG, horror and survival elements? Dead Space is the better series

Mass Effect if you like a gripping story, interacting with npcs, exploring different planets, and light rpg element.
Dead Space if you just wanna shoot shit, walk down lots of dark corridors and have jump scares thrown at you.
Dead Space 1 bored me to tears, couldn't get into it at all. The story seems pretty weak.

They have a completely different atmosphere and gameplay, but Mass Effect wins by a landslide. It was my favorite new IP of this generation. Dead Space was good, Dead Space 2 was great, and Dead Space 3 I didn't even like at all and uninstalled.

How could anyone justify choosing Dead Space over Mass Effect?! Do you want to play one of the greatest games of the decade, or a forgettable Resident Evil rip off?

Well there is no point in comparing both since both are legendary xD

Play them both and be happy :)
