i think the best option would be you choose games, but monthly can be upped in price, if needed. smth like that.

Just got a survey, too.

Basically it was asking if I'd rather receive a full bundle of 8 games, or get to choose 3 games out of a list of 10, for the same price ($12 a month).

It then went on to ask what the most I'd be willing to pay would be for a monthly bundle with 3 games, 4 games, 5 games etc...

"Getting to keep your games after cancelling your subscription" was listed as one of the features/benefits of HB Monthly, too... which makes me wonder if they've thought about a subscription model where you can play only while actively subbed.

the most I'd be willing to pay

don't know why, but this kinda tells me that Monthly isn't going that good. they're thinking about price. a year or so ago told them problem of Monthly, for me and imo, was caused by "the time": a month is really too much, given the little schizophrenic market :D

what you're wondering also worries me...

I got a survey from them sometime last year, asking if I would be willing to pay $20 a month for a "premium" edition monthly bundle that included an extra game, or something like that. So maybe they are just constantly evaluating what the customers want (or what they are willing to tolerate).

extra premium super 20 thing is quite, quite terrible...

same here, i've firstly thought they were testing how much buyers would tolerate... but maybe it's also about number of games. can you see a "3 games monthly"? i can't, whatever the price.
i mean, 12 dollars for the games are offering is still a good deal. they've pushed a lot on the Monthly, lately...
still, results doesn't look to be there, i'd guess. or greediness. they just want more :P

I'm be willing to pay $12 to pick 8 of 10 games, but for each game they remove from that "max pick number" the amount I am willing to spend goes down by $1.

I actually like it how it is at the moment :3
Not a huge fan of the "choose 3 out of 10" thing :/

HB is trying to restructure their business model for bundles which include the HB Monthly. Unfortunately these changes won't be in favor of the customer if they happen. You will be paying the same or ever more for less.

HB has been trying to do this for awhile. If you've noticed awhile ago "more games revealed later" for the BTA on regular bundles as well as the few dollars off on the monthly if you purchase a t3 have been removed.

I doubt that, I guess they are afraid of losing costumers.

I'm a big fan of monthlies, but with all those subscriptions...

12$ per month = one or two great games + nice fillers
VS
Microsoft = 1€/4€/10€ per month = huge library
Origin = 4€ per month/24€ per year = huge library
Uplay = 15$ per month = huge library

I could buy 3 monthly with 36$ or I could switch between the subscriptions for 3 months and choose whatever I want

With the second option I can't get a +1 in my library, but I want to play, I don't want to collect licenses

+1

Humble simply is interested in remaining a relevant factor on the market. They won't achieve that by acting against customer interests.

What part of my comment is it that you doubt?

This, they are already in a bad position, humble can't afford to charge more for less

I'm guessing you haven't taken the survey or read the comments from people who have.

Wasn't there a similar survey back in December I think?

The survey is garbage. It doesn't let you say "I would NOT buy a pick 3 bundle."

I don't like how the survey was structured and if they want to move to a 3 of 10 or whatever structure i feel the majority of people will all pick the same 3 games.
