You must be pretty young if the first game you played was through the Steam client. Otherwise, you got into gaming really late.
My first PC gaming experience was probably Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold. In terms of consoles, I had plenty of games for NES and Gameboy

Just about 30, started gaming when I was about 6. First games I could name was when I was older though, got a Mega Drive with Cyborg Justice and Sonic.
However, I've noticed that there are a decent number of classics that are sitting on Steam, in the Mega Drive Classic for some of us console games, and titles like Doom, Duke, Wolf 3D, Keen, etc.

Unfortunately not. The Genesis packs are the closest thing and even they are a couple years off.

My gaming experience began with NES (famous over 9000-in-1 pack),Atari 2600 and C64(Stunt Car Racer,Fiendish Freddy Big Top of Fun,Flimbo Quest) so I must rely on emulators for nostalgia trips. First game i've touch on PC were games from Win 95 :), and either Blood 2 , Unreal Tournament or Settlers (can't really remember).

This is going to date me as very young but my first gaming memory that wasnt just a educational or pre-installed game on my Dad's PC was Ratchet and Clank 1. So because of the exclusivity of this title it is highly unlikely it will ever come to Steam.

That was the game to convince me to get a PS2. :D
Plus, I was just playing A Crack in Time on PS3. I will always love this series.

I recently noticed that I have created 99 giveaways on this site, so I wanted to do something to celebrate 100+. Since Steam has a number of Mega Drive games available, I decided I'd purchase several of those, some of the earliest titles that I played when I was getting into games (only preceded by a Sega SG-1000 which doesn't have games available on Steam). While I'm unable to get Cyborg Justice, other titles like Sonic the Hedgehog, Shining Force, Columns and Streets of Rage are listed in the Steam store. Perfect for what I was planning.
Made me curious if other users here can find their first games on Steam.
And no giveaways in this topic. I don't get paid for a few more days, I'm just working out how much dosh I'd need for my plans.
