By the way - I haven't played Risk for years. I didn't even know, that there is so many cool themed versions of Risk (Star Wars, Star Trek, Transformers etc.). I definitely must buy one of those.

Pick one of the Risk versions that has an expanded rule set if you really want fun. If you don't care about licensed themes, I'd recommend Risk 2210 AD (has command cards to open up tactics, the moon to colonize at a high cost, and nuclear fallout that takes territories out of the game) or Risk Godstorm (also has card mechanics, has gods on the map as uber units, the souls of dead troops fighting for the underworld and possible resurrection. And it uses Atlantis as it's Australia continent. Which of course can be sunk, thus makes everyone's favorite easily defended source of bonus troops much less secure)
