What about upper cases and smaller cases?
And are the answer the first letter of the locations?

For 4 days, this is impossible.
Add some more tips

I think a puzzle with 19,770,609,664 possible permutations is bullshit, even with 4 days timing.

Your hints are not clear enough, like upper cases and smaller cases, which letter of the name and the permutation.

People, please stop complaining. Not only has cfriend created a giveaway but he's also taken the time to make this puzzle. He's said that more clues will be revealed as time goes on.. You can't assume that you'll find a solution after 5 minutes of Googling.

Don't know which are upper- and which lowercase... O_o Did ppl just guess them? :p

I have to agree, a good puzzle clearly states what the puzzle is and the puzzle not with the extra info. Also # of uppercase/lowercase/numbers would be most helpful.

I gave a clue to the composition of the URL, regarding uppercase, lower case, and numbers. It is higher in the comments, but I'll post it here as well. There are 19,770,609,664 permutations of this six digit bitly URL. This is the clue. There is no extra info or misleading info. Fifteen people have solved and entered, and more have solved and declined to enter. Puzzles are not of uniform difficulty, and this one isn't particularly difficult.

I guess the problem most people are having is that we just don't really know what to do with the information. Like that one other puzzle, where they just assumed that someone would figure out that what they actually wanted was the ascii representation of the (not even hinted at) hex values (as opposed to decimal, which is what the numbers were actually in.) I guess I'll try some different things.
Not trying to complain or anything, I'm grateful for these puzzles, and I enjoy them. Thanks for taking the time to put these together! =)

Interesting idea, but now I see why I couldn't have solved it. Perhaps, it is just my personal problem, but I think the hints did not indicate the pattern, in which the letters should have been taken, clearly enough. Anyway, it was nice to try it. Thanks!

Bitly: http://bit.ly/DaLraR
The intention was to use the first letter from the name of the first city, second letter from the name of the second city, third letter from the name of the third city, etc. Case mattered, which is what St. Louis and Baton Rouge were included in the middle and end.
Hints:
I had planned to give more hints, but people were solving it quickly enough, and I had planned for around two dozen or so entries.
Thanks for all those who participated. There will be more puzzles in the future. See you!
