Just a forewarning for those of you thinking about buying from CJS CD Keys. I'll let this support ticket do the talking.

So you'll only get a refund if they're able to make sure they get money from someone else?
That's extremely damn shady. use http://www.keyradar.com next time.

We have a lot of customers 'cancel an order' and say they didn't use the key. After we refund, they activate the key. So now we just put it up for re-sell and refund the customer once the new customer has successfully activated the key. This can delay things for a couple of days but we will never leave customers without a fully working key or a full refund.

Aye, I have used cdkeys.com before without issue. CJS just had a cheaper price on Warhammer. I'll check that out, thanks.

Use CJS CDkeys only if you have no further source for something. They take extremely long for refunds. I'm currently also waiting for one and got to escalate it now.

They sell games with a region lock?
Oh, great! "We buy Indonesian, Malaysian, Mexican, Russian etc keys. Add 50% overprice and sell it. The buyer must use the VPN! Refund? What for? We take the profits and spend the money right away!"

Wow. An unlicensed key distributor registered in an offshore tax haven with no postal address or available company info, and an obviously non-complete legal page had a mislabelled key and tries to not refund. Colour me shocked.
(The best part is that the company is registered in Belize, the website is hosted in the US, and the domain was registered in Canada, but their default currency is British sterling. Somebody went through a lot of hoops to make this company as unaccountable legally as possible without touching China or Russia.)

Going on 3 weeks waiting for refund now. I've just written it off as a loss. My stupid fault... this is like the 4th time I've ordered from them where I've had problems. This is probably the worst, and the one that just broke the camels back.

Thanks for the welcome!

I would recommend next time use a credit card so you can do a charge back if company refuse to do the refund.

Hi Ghostwheel, it cannot be our fault that you bought a game which is not intended for your region - it is clearly described as EU only on the product page.

Nevertheless, we promise our customers that they will receive a working key or a full refund, and that's what we stand by. To protect ourselves against frauds (we had a few cases where people would cancel their order, get a refund, then activate the key) we make sure to re-sell the key successfully before granting the refund.

As one of the largest CD Key stores in the world with a customer base of over 390,000 , it does not take long at all for your key to re-sell in which time you will get a full refund. Please co-operate with us and have some patience - we would never leave you without a working key or a full refund. Many other stores do not offer a refund of any kind once the key is collected, but we try to help our customers.

Yesterday I gave them an ultimatum to next Wednesday stating that I'd have to start a conflict at PayPal otherwise, I received the refund already today (though as store credit). I've now requested them to transfer it back to my PayPal account.

How did you pay if not by PayPal or CC?

If you prefer to receive a refund to Paypal instead of store credit, just let our team know we'll be more than happy to grant it.

Hi Ghostwheel, CJS here!

It's been a little bit blown out of proportion here - Firstly the key is clearly described as being for EU region only on the product page. This is a clear description and if you buy a key that is not intended for your region, this is not our fault. BUT we will always support you to help you get a refund.

We understand that from time to time, customers buy keys for the wrong region, and we stand by our PROMISE that you will ALWAYS receive a fully working key or a FULL refund, so as you can see, we are helping you by allowing you to get a refund on a key which was already collected.

It's really unfortunate that we've had a spate where people report the key to be unworking in their region, we refund them, then they activate the key.

It is only for this reason that when a customer wants to cancel a game which they already collected the CD Key for, we put the key up for re-sale and only refund once the key has been successfully resold. This stops people from scamming us by trying to cancel an order, then using the key after we send the refund.

Rest assured that we put your key in the first of the queue to be resold, and this is a very fast selling game so it would not take long for your key to be re-sold.

I checked your tinypic.com link but I cannot see any images there? Nevertheless, if you please give us your order ID I would be happy to check and ensure your refund is completed.

Yeah, no. Sadly, I've been dumb enough to buy from CJS before... but I'm not quite dumb enough to not check if its region specific.

Well, they only sell one version of Total War: Warhammer 2 and it clearly states now it's region locked to Europe. Can't tell if this was true when you bought it, of course.

Sorry this happened to you.

I think this is just another reason to use authorized resellers, along with actually compensating devs for their work.

So you bought a region locked key and now you complain about not working when you are in the wrong region?
So its you fault, dont blame the shady grey key market seller.

I've been struggling with them too - way longer then you.
They even went so far to report my review on Trustpilot, they don't like people talking against them.
I suggest you also rate them on Trustpilot if you want to piss them off.
