The two aren't really related to each other so I doubt the sale will be affected

If anything, it's a perfect lead-in. The Pyro update lasts until Wednesday. The summer sale is rumored to begin on Thursday. The dead giveaway for the winter sale was when the midweek madness at the time was ending 4-5 hours early. So be sure to look for that as well.

They'll use "Meet The Pyro" to get people to log onto steam and play TF2 or bring new players to TF2, and when everyones done checking it and exits the game what comes up? a promo banner of steams latest summer sale. BAM! MARKETING!

I don't know what will be if Pyro truly is a woman, whole game will change...Monkey? Machine? Yep Valve's style :D

The purse in the pyro's locker would make us asume that it's a woman, but since we know how Valve loves to troll the community it'll never be ;)
