You can see how europeans usually know a few languages when americans seem to speak nothing but their native one (well, canadians have an extra dutch or french).

German (native), english, latin (not speak, but understand ;p), italian (somewhat), and... esperanto! Well, I've started learning it a year ago but never really got too far. I understand the basics :P

Hungarian (Native), English, German and a bit of French, Spanish and Italian. I want to learn Japanese and Chinese.

Native language is Dutch, I speak German and English fluently and can manage myself in French.
I know some basic Japanese though not as much as I used to.
Currently I have moved to Norway and did a basic course in Norwegian which by using it I am starting to get better at now.

I know how to speak english in russian. or other way around.

i can speak portuguese and english. i wish i could speak german, japanese and spanish.
