mostly [FREE] implies temporary offers, as this is permanent offer then wouldn't it be better to use [F2P] ?
or "now permanently free" etc

Best game ever, I was playing it all the time, when I was a kid. At first I was playing just a demo version for months and was saving money on the full game.
It was also my first bought game and it cost me around 40 dollars! Back in that time, there were no discounts on games :-(

Screw discounts. Things had meaning back then.

Today.....not so much.

Heheh aye, but ... If you buy unfinished products, without trying a demo, or listening to a review - then suit yourself Everybody :p

Saving up to buy that game you've been eye'ing for months, felt special.
And the rotten apples were few and far between. Today, it's the opposite. 90% shit and 10% gems. And those 10% are so overpoweringly numerous, that it all just blends together into "taste of the day / forgotten tomorrow"

But then again, perhaps most people prefer today's abundance. I'm just old and bitter, reminiscing of simpler times.

The days of NES and before were well known to have MANY bad games. It didn't start improving until after the NES generation when it became just a few here and there.

Are you just cutting invisible slices out of my original point... and applying some sort of "debate mood" ? ;-)

I'll politely pass if that's the case ^_^

Comparing "today", with "then", and not finding the difference, is silly, to me.
Besides.. my connection.. is.. "pfft-psst-crackle".. going through a tunnel..

I also played it a lot growing up. This is great nostalgia. Did anyone else have to take out the Adversary with mines?

Not really. Other remakes have made the same mistake. If you do not understand what made the original game great, you are never going to create a decent remake.

Could someone tell me though why is the required disk space "863 MB"?
What I find online when googling is ~40-50 MB for this game - so what's the extra space for?
