Giveaway for a game (DLC) not on the list

Hi, I was trying to make a giveaway for a DLC that was sitting in my steam inventory for 2 years now but didn't find the base game on the list (SpaceChem) so I'm wondering, can I still give it away or are DLCs are also a no go?

Spacecham was free for some time, resulting in the removal from the giveaway list. If the DLC itself is still listed, and that is what you are giving away, you can go ahead and gift that. But since I can't see the DLC listed in the giveaway list either, you will need to skip it.

really? I don't remember the DLC being free. Must have been some other promotion.

i hardly remember it was free along with the base game for one time but can't be 100% sure.

i doubt it was free, rather i suspect that it was only removed from GA list because people kept trying to make GA for free base game by erroneously selecting the DLC (do support usually do that?)

this might be the case. but obviously i'll insist on how i remember and you can't change my mind unless you're a time lord and make me your companion to travel through time and space to show that i'm wrong.

Oh, I did guess that the game was removed for this reason, but are DLCs also affected? I mean, if the game was temporary free and DLCs were not (as usually should be) why remove them too? Or maybe they gave the DLC for free with the game?
