Dead island terrible AI?

That's just how the game is. Be prepared for worse bugs later on (also, be prepared for long repetitive sewer sections).

wait till you get to the infected or special zombies: thug, floater, ram, suicider.

Tbh, I expect a zombie not to be quite intelligent, considering that some of them are even missing half or all their brain.

I find the AI in the sequel much worse. The first games AI is just darn terrible, but in a way you don't need the worlds smartest zombies... just at least ones that know wtf to do xD

at first, on the beach you won't encounter hard enemy's (although there are zones with more than you can handle). Later in the game you'll encounter harder ones and you will get swarmed ( but guns can be a little OP with certain skills and that can tend to make the game feel a lot easier). The thing is that this isn't Dying Light, and you shouldn't expect it to be a grandious game or something like that (in my opinion from playing single player, the story makes absolutely no sense, i literally had no idea what the characters went on about a lot of the time). I'd recommend you to play until you reach the city and if you still don't find it enjoyable than you can skip this game.

This version is quite old, and maybe because of that they made 2 more Definitive Edition right now. They should be better.

in a way zombies being dumb is an amazing AI but yeah some times zombies wont attack you

If you expected zombies with knowledge in Quantum Physics, you own the wrong game! xD

I guess that's why the game wasn't praised as much as Dying Light was, and I haven't even played the game yet. Hopefully the Definitive Editions improve the AI one way or another

I never encountered any problems with the AI. I suppose I have lower standards.
