High CV is awesome, but only applies to a small percentage of current SG users. Given the numbers of low-CV accounts, the large amount of low-CV giveaways isn't surprising. I've done some 1k CV giveaways because I think the benefit is two-fold-- better odds for those with high CV, and more incentive for others to reach such a CV level (which benefits everyone by increasing the amount of running giveaways).
That said, it's entirely up to you.

My honest thought was that games before 2009 or so ... should be made with no CV to a maximum CV of 50$. As for the ones released after, not to mention the ones in 2013, should be made with no CV to a maximum of ... let's say 1000$ CV. And here i'm not talking about indie games and bundled ones. What's your opinion on this?

lately I've only been seeing low CV giveaways (i think 100$ was the max). What happened with the high CV requirement giveaways (250-500-1000)? I'm getting ready to make some sweet giveaways in October and i'm curious if i should make them with high CV or not.
