This! Also, for older stuff, specifically Streets of Rage 2 on the Genesis, I like Yuzo Koshiro as well. Fun fact, Yuzo Koshiro did many older titles for Nihon Falcom as well, including Legacy of the Wizard, and Ys 1 and 2.

Touhou - Perfect Cherry Blossom (If I were just to pick one from the series) is probably my favorite, followed by Persona 4, Chrono Trigger, Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations (And really anything Noriyuki Iwadare does) and Xenoblade Chronicles, but that's just off of the top of my head. Pokemon GSC and RBY also had great OSTs (One's that make me feel as if this generation is spoiled), and Halo is a notable mainstream Western console game of few that emphasized their soundtrack and did it well, it really makes me wonder why others don't, they certainly have potential(though Mass Effect and The Elder Scrolls series do it as well).
I just love video game music, there are so many great OSTs, I hate choosing.

I love OSTs, as a kid there were some games I would play just for the music. Donkey Kong Country 2 comes to mind. Right now I'm ripping the soundtracks from some of my old DOS games, so I can put them on my mp3 player. Classic stuff from Epic Megagames and Apogee like Jazz Jackrabbit, Major Stryker, Duke Nukem 2 etc.

Bastion soundtrack is amazing, good "put on before you head to bed" music too, even the girlfriend/fiancee who is NOT a gamer agrees it's damn good.

So I just recently found out that I got the soundtracks to most of the games in the humble bundles when I bought them. Who knew. So anyways, I downloaded them all and have been listening to them (with some assistance from Beat Hazard), and wanted to know what people think of videogame OSTs. Love em? Hate em? Didn't know they were in your bundles like me? And also, what is your favorite OST?
Personally I'm going with PPPPPP - The VVVVVV Soundtrack. I was actually wishing I had that soundtrack for a couple months now because of how much I liked the game, and then I found it in a bundle I bought and there was much rejoicing.
