Even though I loved HoMM 3 & 5, I'm not sure it's worth it, not a fan of Uplay and the BTA is too high for me.

I remember playing some of them back in the days...
Summer break in Ukraine, kids with one or the other set of grandparents or with other relatives, and I had 2.5 months of almost uninterrupted play date with my PC... HM&M III and IV, and Civ 3... Ah, fond memories...
Nostalgia was quickly halted by BTA price - and killed completely by this little U(gly) logo...

Giving UP keys for games not avaiable on Steam - sure, why not. Not giving Steam key, just UP ones for games that are avaiable on Steam? no thank you. Especially not with such a ridiculous BTA for games that only 1 I miss and it's not a Steam key (while the game is avaiable on Steam).

maybe because 1) SW bundle had great tier 1 as well, 2) SW bundle was giving Steam keys for all tiers

So in the end it's all about not being on Steam. No offense guys, I can understand you don't like Uplay, but claiming all companies should sell their games via Steam and to pay Valve for this is just stupid and BS. Ubisoft, EA, and so on, have the right to sell their games on any platform they see fit. In the end it's all business and paying someone for something you can do for yourself, is stupid and inefficient, financially-wise. If you don't like how they sell their games, you can just stop playing or find...ahem...alternate sources to get them. They have enough users so I'm sure they won't miss those a few more.

star wars bundle's bta went up to $11 something as well (wiki sauce in case you don't believe me.). $12 was the third tier. here the third tier is $15. so no, star wars was bundle was cheaper but these are completely different games. i don't get how you compare these two bundles.

My bad then. I guess I mixed them up. I remember the BTA being a few cents away from the third tier and since I see many bundles have third tier set at $15 I kinda assumed SW's third tier was $15 as well.

As for the compare part - As I said, many bundles have the third tier set at $15, this is not the first bundle to do so and obviously not gonna be the last. The difference is not actually that big. And I didn't actually compare the 2 bundles. I only said I never heard any complains about this on any other bundle. And I keep my thought on that. It's no need to hide the fact that this attitude (the overall one) is mostly generated by the lack of Steam keys, not the price.

yes, steam is more appreciated than uplay by most of the people, even for the games that requires uplay. probably because of the possibility for uplay-drm to be patched out in the future and one convenient library. can we pass this discussion already? i personally hate uplay because it blocked my region for no reason for months, maybe more. i couldn't login uplay client or browse any ubishit domain without vpn, and even with the vpn i couldn't log in to support. so how am i supposed to trust ubisoft? of course people's reasons might not be this extreme but it's not like something to be flamed and flame others just because people like a company/drm/client and don't like another certain one. of course monopoly is not something to be praised but it's people's taste. does it really deserve to be discussed? who are you (or who am i) to tell people what to like or what not to like?

Might & Magic collection, and the only M&M RPG is the joke of a game called Might & Magic X - Legacy... Yeah riiiight... I already have HoMM 2-4, not interested in any new ones. Already have Might & Magic 7 and 8 RPGs... Would love to play Dark Messiah some day, but in general that bundle is... a bundle of sticks :P

Btw, Dark Messiah is great game. Actually, the father of Dishonored.

No, mate, it's not the "father" of Dishonored whatsoever...
It is a fabulous game, particularly for its time (when it went woefully unappreciated), but Dishonored was inspired by franchises such as Thief and adapted from a prototype set in medieval Japan, featuring mechanics similar to those of Deus Ex. I imagine you meant that Dark Messiah was developed by the creators of Dishonored.

Sadly, it's also the only game I'd like from this bundle and far too expensive at $9.91 USD.

Yes, it was developed by the same people. But Dishonored also feels a lot like Dark Messiah in mechanics (I'm not talking about plot, universe and atmosphere) with accent made on stealth (in DM you could play in 3 different game styles). Of course it's all imho and I didn't play Dishonored a lot, while completed Dark Messiah 1.5 times.

Already have nearly everything both in physical and digital copy. Steam version of Heroes III is not wirth it because it will never be Complete edition due to developers. For me, Might and Magic 6-8 were the best and already have 6 on Uplay from purchasing Might and Magic: X Legacy Deluxe Box Edition. And since if I am not mistaken, 7-9 are no longer on Uplay and upcoming BTA games will be just expansions to Heroes V, I will just buy low tier so I do not have to install old Heroes from CDs.

P.S.: I also do not get all the hate against Uplay. I have some game there (Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs etc.) and never had a problem with client itself. Only problem may be in games (I had to do some fixing in AC III which I got for free) but do not blame the client. Uplay is fine, just some games are poorly made. Know the difference!

I have no problem with this bundle being mostly on Uplay (as opposed to idiots who prefer playing a game on two clients at once cause...I duna...reasons? And who measure the value of the bundle in how many Steam keys it contains). I mind that the highest tier contains 2 games I already own, making it not worth it, but as a slap in the face, the most precious one for me from this entire bundle is in there(Heroes III HD). Life's not fair. I also don't like the fact that the BTA tier is so damn expensive, but that's just how it is when a bundle is so good people buy the highest tier in mass.

But other than that, it's a great bundle. Ubi has a platform, therefore they just do what is natural and promote that platform. NOTHING wrong with that!!! Ubi has the right to sell their games wherever the fuck they want. Now,, does the client suck as much as people say? Well, it kinda does, but lately so does Steam...BIG TIME. And by lately, I mean the last 1 and a half years or so. I don't see anyone complain about it.
