Hey guys,

so recently, I paused two months because the games I'd received weren't as interesting as I had anticipated.

Now I returned to Humble and wanted to reactivate my membership as "Classic" (The one you got if you were subscribed before the new money-grabbing model, so 12 instead of 18 bucks).

My credit card was blocked. My PayPal was blocked. I couldn't do a purchase.

I then contacted support telling them that it violates EU law (Which applies to me since I'm from Germany).

And you know what? Suddenly, my account was free again and I could buy the bundle. What in ever god's name is wrong with them?!

Oh and, first come, first serve:

They may have suspected you to be trading and suspended your account. When you used the threat of eu law on them, they unfroze your account.

Humble has been going downhill the more it kept growing. Probably trying to hard to fight resellers and such. Cant imagine sites like Tremor Games still running with all this going on. Oh and got them gifts thanks!

I've read a few scattered comments from people with the same general problem. It could be a mere technical problem from a mass system update some time in the past or something like that. I wouldn't read much into it unless it happens to you again.

This has been covered many times. HB does not want people giving, trading, selling games. You don't have to sell or trade to get blocked. Just giving on SG is all it takes. HB uses gift links to track giving. Don't use links. Unless you are in EU and you contact HB and threaten them. Anywhere else and you are screwed.

pausing a monthly is notoriously error-prone. Just contact them and tell them you were paused. as long as you haven't revealed any games, tehy should give you a refund

I've been skipping months regularly for the similar reason - not really appealing games. Never had a problem (so far).

Maybe I should try to scare them with Russian Law and ask to fill up my account with games from wishlist? Even if I never was a subscriber xD

I'm glad you can use your payment methods after threatening them. I think you should not use gift links.
