Czasami pozostają mi resztki z bundli, które wrzucam do grupy. Śmiało można dołączać a nawet dorzucać swoje.

but links, well, are crystal clear :P

I'm trying to curate games which I've played, with my own review.
Mostly all reviewed games have their full review on my www page - but only in polish language :(
Those 200 chars description are too low to properly write even a small review :(

i'm also following a Japanese curator... and Gtranslator is more than enough :D

also, i truly like that way of "tweet reviews". Curation is faster than Review, you see it before Reviews (bottom Steam page) so i get what i need while Steam is still loading reviews (when it does!). Kinda perfect when you need a quick tip about a game.

Obviously you can beat a good Review with 200 chars, and i'm still reading reviews, browsing community hubs and so on...

This section of our forum is for Steam Group recruitment. Please remove all advertising for curators, YouTube channels, and non-Steam websites.

Why? This exists on other groups (please check yourself) and it's not removed.
It's only info. It's not requements to join.
Non-stem website = my own with reviews (no ads here).

The Steam Group Recruitment sub-forum is for advertising your Steam Group. This is an exception to the general rule about "no advertising" and is done in the service of those Steam groups who wish to use SteamGifts for their giveaways. The advertising of YouTube channels, curator pages, Twitch feeds, et cetera is not covered by this exemption.

As for "others," they are complying (or not) as per their personal choices. CJComplex has also been notified, even if it took me two months to find his post. Support Staff cannot be everywhere at every time.

But Support Staff is not a ninja team.

They were here on entire 2 months, day by day.

I think that those threads were not hidden from Support Staff during this time? And why some users can post their curator for 2 months and other not?

BTW: I've checked the site rules.

  1. And the most important question is: is Support Staff doesn't know own site rules if doing something like that?

  2. What point of site rules exactly disallow to show group page etc.? I've checked TOS / Guidelines and don't saw it.
"do not post referrals, spam, inappropriate material, or ask users for gifts within the chat."
= and this was not touched at any point.

  3. Is post in this form are acceptable in Off-Topic or Uncategorized category?

  4. Why others (thread here) are not touched by this information about this?

Can you help me with that?

Hello my friend,

Just want to give you a piece of advice

Check this thread and you'll know

https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/uLte2/the-moment-when-your-faith-on-sg-support-went-from-100-to-1

Even after when i removed my YT and TW links, along with the Curator group, the post was held for about 3 weeks.

And now in this case a super-mod is actually violating the rules.

And the thing is that CJCOMPLEX's thread has not been closed. Which should have been done, considering the position he's in and the thing he did. Seems like what i thought about partiality in SG support, still stands.

In short: dual standard of rules for mods and no-mods?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Kinda

Even though they won't allow promotion
But still you'll find a number of threads wherein people do post YT links and to the extent, in some cases, they even post thier twitter handle.

Which is in a way or other is a violation of the guidelines.

But as Khalaq said

STEAMGIFTS ain't a democracy

So i would suggest that if you cannot adhere the directions of mods, you can find other places where you can giveaway games.

You can read his entire comment here

I have a simple solution for them. Will create tickets to help them find them all! No more 2 months of more of finding! Let's help them do their work ;)

Don't create tickets, if you create like 5-6, they'll ban you for spamming. They banmed me for a week when i started reporting these kind of threads..

They can't find them for 60 days. They need help.

That would be appreciated. It takes a while to comb through all of the threads. P

If you have multiple threads to report, please try to consolidate them into a few (or even one) ticket.

No.

Abrix is not giving you the entire story. That may be because Abrix does not know the entire story, but there are definitely parts he does know which he is choosing to leave out.

You have multiple questions. I will try to give at least a rudimentary explanation in the time I currently have.

  1. Up until recently, there has not been a need for Support to check Steam Group Recruiting threads because (for the most part) they have been about Steam Groups, not "other stuff."
  2. Not so long ago, some users began using the forum for self-promotion and advertising. When this first began, SG did not have the manpower to address the issue. We were too busy trying to deal with other, more pressing matters.
  3. As SteamGifts continues to increase the number of Support Staff, we have been able to shift our attention to other problems which have heretofore gone unaddressed. One of them was advertising in the forum. I have been the Support member most active on that front.
  4. As advertising in the forum was being curtailed, it began to become increasingly present in the Steam Group Recruitment sub-forum. It is only lately that my attention has been drawn to what has, until now, been an oversight. (See #1.)
  5. Aside from a couple of exceptions, those asked to correct their posts have cooperated, leaving them free to spend their time and energy on other things. You may check remike's post for one example.

If you have checked the site rules, you know that "advertising" is only permitted inside giveaway descriptions. Links to curator pages, YouTube channels, Twitch feeds, and other links to off-site web pages for the purpose of promotion are considered "advertising." Unless you are mentioning them inside giveaway descriptions, they are not allowed. That is the general rule. The exception to that rule is the allowance of Steam group promotion within the Steam Group Recruitment sub-forum. The point at which Steam group promotion becomes impossible to distinguish from off-site promotion, it becomes a problem in the forum.

TL; DR: Your original post included mention of your Steam group (permitted) along with various links promoting off-site content (not permitted). As per recent changes, this is no longer the case, and you are currently in compliance with site rules. It took this long to point out the problem because I am currently the only one addressing this.
