This is simply not true, where did you get that from?

Explains it all. It's not the official group. S-Gifters is a user made group.

It is a user-made group and they can have whatever rules they want, they just used these forums for advertising.
There is a lot of freedom for the gifters on this site and they can give away anything with little to none limits. It is a good manner, however, to somehow prove that you actually own the gift if it's your first giveaway or you have just registered (for example, setting your steam inventory settings to public visibility if it's a giftable version).

Thats just stupid. Why would i want for someone to win my giveaway of dlc for a game which he doesn't own? I cant believe youre questioning that. Considering that you're some kind of mod in SG chat, i expected more common sense from you
EDIT
Oh, you were reffering to certain group. Nvm them, im already in only private group on SG worth joining

This is totally not the Steamgifts.com rules. Are you sure you didn't read this from S.Losers or some other "group" made for this website?

ITT: people thinking Raiden is being serious and wants to make this official site policy

I think that if it's a user made group it's ok, because nobody is forcing you to join the group.
Let the ones that want to join such an idiotic group join.

I think he's refering to a thread about a closed private gifting group, they had a rule of minimum 5 points worth of gifts per month. Personaly I don't think it's that bad an idea in a closed gifting group, I see it as a very pro-active way of keeping out the leechers, but thats just my opinion and I know the trolls will be out in force flaming me soon enough.

Why would i want to pay a monthly subscription to attempt to win bad games?

Raiden why the hate, if you dont like dont join? No one inviting you anyway, and no one cares.

And yatterman, we wanted to change the name seriously, but steam doesnt allow sadly
Its the ex-owner who choosed that name, we did what we could: clean leechers, and set some rules/organization in the group, we wished to change the name, even made pools and all, but as I said steam doesnt allow to change group name, it still would stay in a giveaway: S-Gifters

138 people moving to a new group, and if he would hate like that, couldn't he just say that?
We cant read minds you know, and we are welcome to do anything in logic situation.

ITT : Admins of a certain group coming out in full force to defend their terrible policies.

Yeah, i'm glad i have Raiden as a friend. he's a great guy who actually gives great games to the community. How about you? You blocked communications for me on steam because you couldn't accept the fact that your group is terrible. Also i heard sucking up gets you admin status. <3
Also i would dare say that the amount of games i given is higher than everything your little group has given.

Well I'm not denying that Raiden is a great guy, who gives nice games, I blocked you on Steam because you where rude and made a shitty offer on trades, if im not mistaken of course.
And if you heard that way of getting admin status you must have a sick mind.

I never traded with you. I came to the s.gifters chatroom to defend the old group's name. of course you were giving silly excuses to not reason with me about deleting the group to prevent the embarrassment you guys are having now. you were just sucking up to pootez and not surprisingly, the next day you were an admin. Of course i won't expect you to remember such details or even defend it, since you've proven to me before that you aren't actually intelligent enough to do so.

Defend? You? Right..
I got admin because I made a list of everyone who made giveaways, and helped kicking those who didn't
You where not defending, all you where doing was flaming and apeshitting on the chat.
I dont need to show my intelligence, its already a pain to do so with the professors on the university, no time/mood to do with random people who I dont know and care.
Have I nice day, I'm done with you, no need to write an answer, I'll just "tl;dr"

If they enter a group that has such rules, then they shouldnt be complaining about it; thats a group admin problem, if i see such requirements in a group, i'm definetly not entering.

I always felt a gifter should have full freedom to gift whatever he or she wants without being hindered by group rules such as it has to be a base game, firts giveaway can't be dlc and a new one I just saw that the giveaway MUST amount to at least 5P. Although such rules could reel in more worth while giveaways how do you guys feel about it?
EDIT: Forgot to type in group lol
