Invite a friend to play a game Quest

It worked for me using the "Let's Play Together" invite. The other person doesn't need to accept. You can send the invite and then immediately cancel it.

And to add to that you can even invite people who are offline

I did it via Streets of Rogue and an offline friend who hasnt logged in for months

Thanks for the list. I don't play multiplayer games. Saw Shovel Knight on the list and I have that one installed. Was able to do the "play remote" with someone who is offline and it worked.

It's such a blessing to try such tasks after others figured out how to approach them. ;)

Edit: The Steam library allows to filter games with remote play support.

Thank you so much! Really hate that Valve can't get this right. Tried the invite to lobby feature in four different games and all failed to work even when I know they did before...

If there is a invite to game option then Im sure CSGO will work. I tried at home with TF2 on two computers and tried "invite to lobby" as it says, but no invite was sent. When I selected invite to game it worked fine.

You can do it with free game "Business Tour - Board Game with Online Multiplayer". Just download it (it's less than 100mb) and in game open Steam overlay, click on a friend (doesn't have to be online) and "invite to play remote play together". Worked for me.

I think the wording on this task is wrong - they are pushing a lot of their new features with these tasks, so it makes more sense that they intended for it to be "Remote Play Together" instead of "invite to lobby".
