They know we have plenty of available web-based proxies, and often the location-based blocks are in open and civilised countries where the content isn't stonewalled due to religious reasons. The number of times I used to get "SORRY YOU CAN'T VIEW THIS MUSIC VIDEO BECAUSE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE UK" for things I could easily see on my TV was pretty dumb.
