Right-handed mouse or left-handed mouse?
But do you use it with both hands or do you have a preference?

I'm left-handed, but I use both hands for some things, the right hand for some other things, and the left hand for some other things. I don't really need a left-handed mouse, so I'm ok with a conventional one. Still, I have used my right-handed mouse in the past with the left hand and I could use it just fine.

No poll option for both? What about the gripping-hand?
My friend is left-handed and mouses right-handed.
I'm right-handed, but my right hand was crushed in a door when I was a teenager, so it's difficult to use for extended periods of time. So, on PC I mouse right-handed, and on my mac I mouse left-handed, to even things out.

im right handed and using righ handed mouse, dont know if there are that many left handed mouses but you can find ambidextrous mouses like steelseries sensei, roccat kova, roccat kiro (this one has movable side parts), atlest those are the ones i know since i had done some research recently to buy a new mouse. So if you are left handed you can get a ambidextrous mouse.

Must be a pain to reconfigure all the keys when playing a MMORPG or similar games which have a billion keyboard shortcuts. :P

I see how that can be a problem. Some games don't even allow rebinding of any keys at all. Hate them.

It's my case. That's the reason/utility of rebinding menu!
AS they regularly not working properly even on AAA games, i have as well a software to modify them.

I use the mouse in lefthand so right hand on keyboard will use numeric pad or the oklm

As a lefty I tried swapping my ambidextrous wireless mouse and I really liked it. I would have tried to keep it, but my right hand does not work the same as my left controlling with the keyboard.

Exactly. Back in the days of good old reliable trackball mice. Actually, I'm pretty sure the mouse was ambidextrous but back in ye olde days I didn't know shit about "options" and "computer settings" so never even know that mice buttons could be "flipped". :P

my brother's the same way. growing up, just about everything was geared toward right-handedness and he made do. he's now a surgeon who operates with his right hand, because even that is geared toward right-handers, and it's easier for him to operate with his right hand than to have operating procedures (and staff) recalibrated for his left

I thought I'd use thumb buttons much more when I bought my mouse, turns out it's pretty much just really good for MMORPGs. So much skills to keybind. D:

Right hand trackball since my old ambi trackball bit the dust after a short 8 years.

I'm right-handed and I've always used a right-handed mouse.
My 6-year old son is a lefty (although he's ambidextrous for lots of things), but I'm teaching him to use a right-handed mouse. I think it'll make it easier for him in the future.
(Of course, in his lifetime mice will probably become obsolete, because everything will be VR and/or touchscreen...)

Interesting point. I never really thought of it.

my wife is left-handed but has always used a mouse with her right hand, even back when she had a kensington orbit which is symmetrical so would have been just as good on the left. she told me once she has no interest in using a mouse with her left hand because it works just fine with her right.

Ergonomics, especially with mice, are the bane of lefties.
I've never seen a left handed mouse.
Every store I've talked to refuses to order them.
I've tried contacting the manufacturers, but all I've gotten a reply from refuse to sell to end uses, they only want retailers.
I'd really love a left handed gamer mouse some day, but it doesn't seem to be likely any time soon.
Also, all publishers that have hard coded wasd controls should be strapped to the rack for at least 12 hours. That garbage is painful for me, and so 1970s non-configurable keys. Something I thought went away decades ago and for some reason seems to be coming back.
Ah well, the pain of only being about 15% of the gaming & computer market I guess.

So, I was browsing the local used ads and saw that someone was selling a left-handed Razer mouse for $55. I laughed at the ad, telling my brother that it'll never sell since left-handed mice are not very common... but it made me think, is it really that rare? How rare is it?
I'm a lefty myself, but since I've started using computers I've always been using a right-handed mouse and I'm used to it. I probably couldn't get used to left-handed even if I tried, it's just weird. It would cause lots of problems with my left hand as well since I'm used to the WASD controls.
Generally, which kind of mouse do you use? Left-handed or right-handed?
