15% of the Steam price for a bundled game
For a non-bundled game, you get the full price in CV, no matter the price you paid for it
BTW Parallax isn't on the bundle game list. Maybe because the guy adding games to this missed it, but it could be that because Parallax is $10 and it was $1 with no other games included, it's similar to a 90% discount and so they didn't consider it bundled (games will be considered bundled if they get a 95% or higher discount)

bundled game is considered as simply a game from this list: http://www.steamgifts.com/bundle-games - both games from bundles and heavily discounted go there.

Do you know about this ? I've noticed that sometimes bundled games in high tier don't go on the bundle list either. So, is the criteria for getting on the bundled list simply hitting a 95% discount, even if the game is actually in a bundle ?

Parallax was a single game, not a bundle. If a single game is offered, even on bundle site - it does not go on bundle list (unless heavy discount, like 95%). For another example - not every game from IndieGala Store or Humble Store must go on bundle list, even if they are sold on bundle sites ;p

Yes, but games like Bioshock Infinite or Hatoful Boyfriend have been in Humble Bundles, but in a high tier, and they are not on the bundle list.

From what I've seen with high tiers, it looks like Shoo takes the difference between the lowest BTA and the high tier price and use that to see if it qualifies. There has been times where it would be cheaper to get the BTA and then wait for a sale to get the last game, so it makes sense.

I know, I was editing my comment and now I have mentioned it ^^

You always get store price added to your CV. For games from bundle list you get 15% of store value.

ok, but I can definitely see people taking advantage of games that are maybe 90% off retail price at one time to giveaway after the game goes back to normal prices. It also looks like the top tier of some Humble Bundles don't count toward the bundled list IF it was the first time bundling (example: Hatoful Boyfriend isn't on the bundle list)

And if 90% off games were added, you would see people saying "well people are taking advantage of 85% off games that go back to normal price" and so on and so on. A line has to be drawn and 95% off is the line.
And ya as Zelghadis posted while I was typing, when a game is on sale even for 94% off, you get the full credit for it as long as its not on the bundle list.

this, plus fact that buying power of 90% vs 95% is 100% :D: let's imagine you have 10$. 10$ games goes on 90% sale - you may buy 10 copies of it. If it goes on 95% sale you can buy twice as more - 20 copies. Buying power difference between 85% and 90% is only 50% so much smaller. And difference between lower sales gets even smaller ;)

If the game you are giving away has been in a bundle (or is considered bundled due to an extremely large discount such as a pricing error), it will be considered bundled by the website, no matter what.
For example, purchasing Bastion at full price on Steam to give it away here won't earn you the full CV because it has been bundled in the past.

Well I got my answer already. So now I see that if somehow Kerbal Space Program was 90% off right now, I could give it away and get 39.99 CV.

SleepyCat is Russian I believe. There is usually one support on throughout the day.

If the game you are giving away has been in a bundle
That's not exactly true, some games that have been bundled, but in a high tier are not on the bundle list. I think it might have something to do with the price of the bundle not getting the game at a 95% discount from its base price.

For example Hatoful Boyfriend was in a tier that was something like 8 or $10 but it's not on the bundle list

and I suppose they don't consider IndieGameStand bta as bundled (even if the game was never in a bundle). For example, Galacide is in current deal, which you can currently get for 1.38 along with Blade Symphony. By Steamgifts terms, someone could giveaway Galacide and get 9.99 in CV, and 1.49 CV for Blade Symphony even though though they only paid 1.38 total.

yeah and I suppose because the price of IndieGameStand fluctuates TOO MUCH (sometimes a bta may be 1.20, at others 3.25) and for the MOST part IndieGameStand has games that are bundled previously, with the only things that were't bundled before being Steam versions of the soundtrack or DLC

One thing they should do is credit you the CV of the CURRENT price of the game according to something like IsThereAnyDeal. I don't think that would be THAT hard to implement

but say Call of Duty Ghosts Hardened edition hit a 1 dollar sale for some odd reason or was bundled by Humble in the bta tier, that would doom it to the bundled list I presume (even if it never goes in another sale or bundle)

but for those who bought and gave away copies from those hypothetical sale, they would still be gaining 14.99 CV even though they may have paid 1-3 dollars for that one game or alongside 2 or 3 other games.

well just giving an example that might be a little TOO extreme.

what if there was a permanent price drop or price raise? Would the CV gained be adjusted accordingly?
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, CV is automatically fetched from the price on the Steam store. If the price changes, the CV changes.
Comment has been collapsed.
and if the game is removed from the Steam store, it would fetch the last recorded retail price? What if the game was only ever sold in one region in the world, but was not region locked (as in you could play the game, but there was no record of a storefront for that game on Steam except for one region)?
Comment has been collapsed.
If I a game is removed, it would indeed give CV for its last recorded price. But I think this isn't automatically done, when a game is removed, it will give $0 CV until the staff manually sets the CV to the last price recorded.
What if the game was only ever sold in one region in the world, but was not region locked
No idea, I don't even know any game like that

Suppose I had bought Parallax from IndieGameStand for 1 dollar, and decided to give it away here on Steamgits. Would it have given me 1 dollar in CV or the Steam price? Or what if I bought Kerbal Space Program when it was on sale, and decided to give it away after the sale ended?
Edit: so what people are saying, if something like Kerbal Space Program or ARK Survival Evolved hit IndieGameStand, you MIGHT find it on the bundle list due to the 95%+ discount.
