Do we need a better selection of games?

There are 2 things in your sentence:
We need a better selection of games.
If we don't get a better selection of games then the community will die out.
So much to be said but most people have already addressed the issue. I'm sure people would love more unbundled AAA games, but is there a need? And WHO would pay for it?
Would the community die out? Well what community? As seen in the comments, the people who read these type of topics, and can probably be called community as they are the ones making the site alive, are finding their happiness anyway.
I voted "no" but I preferred to comment too.
Also if you want more "wanted" games you should join some groups with ratio where you give and get "better quality" games.

As others have already more or less said, I think it is less about selection and more about quality. Honestly, it wouldn't hurt my feelings too much if 60% or more of the titles on Steam disappeared ... as long as it was stuff that corresponded with < 15P GAs on SG first. Not across the board but seems like a good starting point -- I know there are a few titles in that description that are decent and I don't mind those ones -- but by and large it seems like Steam (and by proxy SG) has become flooded with worthless crap over the last several years... I mostly just click to hide them on SG but would be nice if they just didn't exist to waste my time :-)

Sure, it would be better to prioritize quality over quantity but... eh, people can do whatever they want with their money. If they'd rather buy cheap titles from DIG and other scrape of the barrel bundle sites, it's their prerogative. Now... have you ever heard of the saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure"? Myself, I've been on the lookout for a game that was bundled last year by Indie Gala. I have no idea why but I have recently developed quite an interest in that game. O_o I probably wouldn't play that much, but... it's just that it reminds me of a NES game I used to play when I was a kid. I suppose you'd consider it trash but I do hope it's going to be rebundled and if so, that a few ga's will pop up.
Edit: by "a better selection of games", did you mean unbundled titles?

Volleyball Unbound. Oh, I've checked on trading sites but it seems that only collectors have it and I don't have anything they don't have already. It's an early access game that seems to have been abandoned, maybe it's going to get bundled once more. Now, I need to keep an eye on IG and DIG bundles again.

We need a better selection of games, or else this community will start to die out.
