You got me confused Mafia II Definiteive Ed. gives you Mafia II (Classic) too.
Buying Mafia II: Definitive also gives you Mafia II (Classic) for free.
So it might be Mafia II Definitive Ed. it's hard to tell for me as I own both. I made a giveaway with the key for Mafia II (Classic) to be on the safe side.

Use SteamDB browser extension it will tell you what the key is for when you own the game already.

When I went to activate it showed 'classic' but checking my library, I was also given the definitive.

GMG just shows it as Mafia II.
Steam shows the activation as Mafia II Classic.
My library shows Classic and Definitive. So yes, it looks like when you activate either version you'll get the other as a freebie, which I think is pretty slick. I owned neither of them prior to this.
