6 years, because Orange Box required it. I already have Contraption Maker anyway, and I bet older users will come in here.

My Steam birthdate is November 13, 2003. Interestingly, I registered the original Half-Life before Steam was actually a thing, so when Steam launched and I created an account, my registered copy from years earlier already appeared in my account!

I'm at 11yrs, hit it last month, I played Half-life in beta before Steam.

I created my account on september 12th, 2003! 11 years strong! :D (1st badge on my profile)
My first games were Half-Life Platinum Pack and Half-life 2 retail collectors edition. ^_^

And before that I played Counter-Strike since beta 5.2 at a local lan cafe back in the day.. :) Awesome times with 8 vs 8 tournaments.
In fact I'm still playing Counter-Strike beta 6.1 every friday night. Non-steam of course. :) Don't want to spam, but we are always looking for more players! We have a facebook group. The name is "csbeta6" -spam mode off. :)

5 Years. March 25 is my Steam account's birthdate. I didn't really buy games back then, but Steam taught me, that I should buy them :)

I'm only at 5 years. i remember back in 2009, since i used to exclusively play on my xbox (RIP Black Box. You will be missed.) i didn't have much knowledge of what it needed to play games on PC. Went to a local game store, bought Dark Sector and then i found out i needed a steam account.

Seriously, 11 year olds here and I thought I was a hero with 3.

I'm at 7 years, got Steam when I got CS:S pack that came with HL2 games and DoD:S

9 years (10 at 1st february 2015): I created my Steam account in order to play with Half-Life 2!

December 30, 2003. Weird, must've been bored that Christmas/New Year's Eve week. That year was also my first time in college.

i'm only 1 year (created 12 may 2013) i created the account to play TF2 with a friend :P

Only 4 years on my first account. April 22nd, 2010.
My ex wanted me to have one, was basically the thing. He bought me a few things to play with him, and that was it. I never bought anything for it.

Current account is only 1 year - April 20th, 2013. Just wanted a new one. :)

I had another "Half-Life Platinum Pack" copy back then.. ;)

After that came "ATI Half-Life 2: Deathmatch / Half-Life 2: Lost Coast Promo" for free.

Since maybe like 2 years I'm collecting promo's and free games on this account for my kids.
So they will be able to play a lot of games in a few years. :)

First account was in 2004 when HL2 launched. Second one is this one created in 2009. I lost my first 2004 account.

11 Years. (September 20, 2003)

Migrated to Steam since Won.net servers would shutdown. At that time, i used to play a lot of Team Fortress Classic and Day of Defeat.

But i stayed away from PC games from 2005 to 2011, because of college, work and other stuff. It wasn't until 2012 that i got back into PC gaming.

First for free Portal, and the another for TF2 since I forgot the first account's login and email.

1 has 11 years badge, it was from first day of steam beta

2 others are 10 years old, im actually using one of those as my new main :P

all of these have the half - life platinum package ( i hope its called like that ) , i had 3 half life keys back then and i used them all to create steam accounts, because they gave you a free half life platinum package for joining steam and redeeming one of your cd keys :P
