All I got was a stupid t-shirt.

1) You can enter giveaways for higher levels. In my opinion you only need lvl 5 if you want to level up just for this reason.
2) You might be whitelisted for your generosity by certain users.
3) You will be able to join more giveaway groups. Usually they have a restriction that you need a certain level.
4) Just feeling good. Really. It works kinda like achievements in games.

That's all I can think of atm.

Since I leveled up I can take more damage, I fell down the stairs this morning and didn't feel a thing.

Ask not what Steamgifts can do for you, ask what you can do for Steamgifts... :) Or something like that.

But really, there's no benefit. There are people at Level 0, i.e. they haven't made a single giveaway, with hundreds of wins. If you just want to win random whatever, and aren't too particular about the quality of the whatever, you don't need to level up at all.

If you do decide to chase the neverending Steamgifts Level Thing, be careful... It's easy to get hooked on finding the most cost-efficient way to level up, instead of giving games people might actually want to play... :)

That being said - it's been calculated before, levelling up is not really worth much if you view it as just 'investment', sure, you get access to more GAs, but there are less GAs for higher levels than there are for lower ones, so even if you have twice the chance it doesn't matter much, if there are quadruple less GAs. It is worth it to level up lower levels which are cheap, but not really worth it to get much higher (unless you get into GA groups - but then it's no longer lvl that matters, you gotta make GAs other will enter for, so not really 'whatever I can find that will get me most CV for lowest price'). If you want to give away games, do so, treat levels just as a bonus - simple as that. For example lvl 10 requires fucking shitload of money, yet there are maybe 20-30 lvl 10 GAs per month. At the same time there are thousands upon thousands of low lvl GAs. I am lvl 10, but Even if I entered all avaiable lvl 10, 9, 8 and 7 GAs each and every day - I would still be left with spare points ;p

You haven't received your level 3 gold plaque yet? There must have been some issue with the courier.
