OH MY GOD I DID PLAY THAT!
Sorry but, I came by your thread when it had no replies and I was like, God of Thunder? Doesn't ring a bell. But I actually looked at the screenshot this time and I do remember that! I hardly got anywhere in it, but still :P

The first game I played (I think) was Commander Keen, but never heard of God of Thunder.

Never heard of God of Thunder either, but has anyone else played Battle City? My parents were too cheap to actually buy an NES for me and we had it on a shoddy TV plug-in, but I spent about half my childhood on that.

First game I remember playing for hours on end was either http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jazz_Jackrabbit_(1994_video_game) or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commander_Keen

<-- This guy played it too. Not sure where I got it, but it was on my oldest PC with a bunch of other DOS games like Ecstatica (which scared the crap outta me that time). Started playing it and realized it was a Zelda clone, so I tried to stick with it. Loved the quirky sound when you ate an apple lol.
Oh well, too bad I lost it as that PC couldn't be turned on a few months later.

Don't remember that one, but speaking of shareware... played the crap of out Wrigglers as a kid. I did at least end up with a full copy of it back then. Took me a while to get it off my slowly dying old laptop so I could play it again.
And sorry for the blurry image. I can't even seem to find a Wikipedia page for it. It's basically a Snake game, if anyone's curious.

Nope haven't heard of that game unfortunately. My favorite games on a Mac were Lode Runner, Power Pete, Wolfenstein 3D, Glider There were lots of other such great games too.

Magic Carpet (2), I played Rise of the Triad shareware soo many times its ridiculous. I also played a lot of C64 portable games, but the one I remember the most was Avoid the Noid and it was actually a very good advertising based game. I remember also double dribble, Sam & Ed Basketball, play as the basketball, Sammy Lightfoot, so much time spent on this.

This game?
I only had the shareware version when I was little, so I didn't really get to finish the game. Perhaps I should add it to my to-do list someday.
