Try using a proxy, if it can be steam redeemable there should be no problem.

When I put the code in I didn't notice that the price change was actually on the top right of the screen because on the bottom it never changed. Or it can be another lame region locked code.

Lets say I wanted to use PayPal to buy a game from them, in order to do this I would have to put in my Credit Card info--for no reason at all

I'm not going to use my credit card to buy it...so dumb. I don't think they take paypal though, so it's a moot point.

I don't get your point. There's no paypal IIRC as They only accept CC as a mode of payment. It only makes sense that they need to ASK FOR YOUR CC INFO.

I just activated it on steam - no origin client needed ;) .

btw - money is money... GMG also have it's own client (capsule) but some titles sells as steam-redeemable.
