If it does happen, it wont happen before Monday I would guess. If you still have the game in a week, you're probably in the clear. Just play the thing now if you have any interest in it. I personally wouldnt trade it if I had one of these keys or trade for it either just b/c I wouldnt want to be on the hook for it if it got revoked after the fact.

The last mass key revokation I remember was Sniper Elite 3, and that was instigated by the developer and happened very quickly. I had 2 friends that got it from two different places that had their keys revoked and they both had their games revoked within 2-3 mins of each other, so if revokes happen, everyone will know quickly. If this wasn't planned, Gamesplanet will probably contact their supplier first to see if the keys they "sold" for free will be replaced and that will take a little time since its Saturday. Then it just depends on how hard they were hit and what kind of recourse they want to take. They may be fucked and not able to get anything back and just write it off as a loss. I read on another forum from some dude who said he got 50 of these before a lot of places even knew of the deal, that's a pretty hefty retail loss on Gamesplanet's side from him alone.

Their entire site is down right now, so they're losing regular business too. Not a good day for Gamesplanet unless they did the "GA" on purpose.

Gamesplanet says they aren't revoking them.

"NOTICE

Hi Gamer!

By mistake this game has been on sale for free. It was never intended to be free, shit simply happenend. As a result the world hit us hard during the night. Our service has been down for several hours.

We saw comments on Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, Price-Comparison-Pages, Forums, well… the internet. We did read them all and enjoyed the love shared for Gamesplanet.

Be assured, we will write a full post-mortem about the last night and you will get to know all details.

Last but not least: We saw comments on Reddit, that keys would get revoked on Steam. This is not true! We did not take action in any way."

It says "We did not take action in any way". It doesn't say they won't, so the keys could still be revoked.

Hmm...and how they solve this issue with reseller-dev?

I'm pretty sure that the reseller takes full liability, so the publishers/ devs aren't losing money, the resellers are. So if the resellers don't call for a revocation of keys, the publishers/ devs probably won't interfere either.

That was a different situation, they had keys stolen, these keys were legally "purchased", though no money changed hands.

Devs don't own games publishers do, except in the event where the dev is also the publisher.

Woah such a relief! Great! :) BTW it would be a little bit unfair to revoke the keys as they got a nice advertisement. Most of us probably never heard of this site before.

They still could revoke the keys. It just says that they haven't yet. They might end up losing quite a bit of money on this, depending on how many were sold. They'll have to crunch the numbers and see if the good PR outweighs the financial hit.
