You know what's the most beneficial thing for a gamer?

To be able to Not play Any video game for at least 1 Full Year, that is the most important achievement a gamer can achieve, it is a psychological achievement, after which one gains oneself trust boost.

Everyone is fighting either for Your Time or for Your Attention or even for Both, so why wouldn't you join the fight? :)

Considering my choices are to play games/use computer or stare at my respirator working or the celling I will play games. Of course before I became ill I spent decades without video games (without even a computer.)

It is no more a psychological achievement than deciding to abstain from foods with more than 3 vowels.
Life is fleeting. I have no intention of creating additional nonsensical mind-games for myself, especially not ones that require me to diminish my enjoyment of the experience of life without strong cause for doing so. I can trust myself perfectly fine without pitting my mind against itself in another needless ritual.

My time and my attention is for me to spend and to manage. Devoting even a portion of a year of my time/attention to a random stranger on the internet, at expense of personal enjoyment, is ludicrous to me.

Moderation is far more effective than asceticism.
Enjoyment does not automatically require abstinence.

Meh. I've gone two years without playing anything. It's not really an achievement. I was just interested in other things at the time.
